It's all gone quiet...

There's a cover-up going on

Was there a post removed from a previous thread or did I imagine it??
From the grassy knoll perhaps!

Well, after what happened with "Release," I'm sure that those that are in the know are quite wisely keeping their mouths shut, at least on public forums, which is as it should be at this point.

for the protocol:
Release have 'leaked' on January 21st 2002 at exact 7:19 pm

- I don't think we will beat this, but thats the record we have to break

How do you leak an album early? Promos? people breaking into the studio and download?

sure, promo's plus, bands know lots of people.people they consider friends I imagine.people who work for them who they get close with, I imagine its not unheard of they might feel a sort of obligation to let them hear the new CD first.
and I imagine its only human nature for the friends to burn copies when friends/family of them say, "hey thats awesome make me a copy" and from there its just a matter fo time till it hits the net.

maybe...

, but things went better for record companies these days. They're some more professional in giving out promos to the media & press staff.
Only a big mistake would help us I think. From what I know in 2002 a newspaper journalist made a copy of the promo and droped it on eMule, so someone from here (was it Glenny4??) could grab it from there...

I can wait.
I remember the feeling I had when Behaviour was released. The record shop said to me:Tomorrow we have it. Next day I was there buying it.
Guess who was cycling fast home to play it ..

Don't forget that the last New Order Album leaked about 2 1/2 months early (after it was played to the press) and the last U2 album leaked about a month early. The press seem to be the prime leakers. I don't think that there is any question that the new PSB will leak early, the question is "how early?" The only way Parlophone is going to keep it under wraps is not hand out promos to the press.

3 cheers for the press!
