I have just been watching a couple of the tours over the last week and I have decided that all that ostume crap only ever looked good when they were live
i.e> Performance tour What have I done to deserve this?? with the moustche
> 1989 tour Its a sin with neil in the red coustume
> Discovery tour I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing in them costumes from the video
but ht really got me was how cool yet normal it ppeared when I was watching Glastonbury and there was neil in a suit and chris in glassesand a hat.
I hope you agree but I think they looked there best when they are looking as people remember them
Neil > Suited up
Chris > Glasses and a hat
Maybe if they continue this they will get a better reaction than over the last 10years!!!!
P.S does anybody know wher I can get Paris City Boy download as I have deleted of my PC

by i probably would
For me it has to be the Paninaro video with Neil and Chris looking really cool. At the time alot of my friends tried to dress like chris - I was so excited when i got my BOY cap. Not really sure about having a costume which would give them more success over the last 10 years though. What do you all think which was the best "look" the boys have had - Can you forgive her was a fantastic look.

i love our boys in frocks, but there's one problem. the costumes they wear are always worn LIKE costumes. the boys are fairly unanimated when they're in uniform, which i suppose is conceptually about posing as something, not "becoming" it. whereas madonna dons a costume and then proceeds to act out the part (screen idol, abused spouse, runaway teenager, tortured geisha, etc.), our boys don't. they're more interested in the detatchment the costume creates, the fake-ness of it. so in a really cerebral way i like the boys in costume, but performance-wise, they're still as painting when they're in them (the VERY videos) which can be boring.
in "performance" (best concert dvd ever) i always find myself waiting for those quick edits backstage, where you see neil and chris changing or running around like maniacs or laughing with a dancer. in contrast to "performance", there's the "somewhere" concert, in which they both come off quite loose and human... yet it all seems a bit dull.
so i'm not sure which i prefer, but i know i'm excited to see either.
i just want the new music and few decent vids.

Neil and Chris in Paninaro '95. Chris in the traffic officers uniform in Single-Bilingual.
Oh, and Neil's hair in the West End girls video...just kidding.

I wa beginning to get worried then. What about Chris in the Opportunites video. The one with the Car
The Very era was the best by far. They shouldn't have used costumes again for Nightlife. The bottom line is that PSB are one half suit and tie, the other half casual. Sticking to that would be wise in my opinion.

My favorite look of ''coolness'' would be all the pics from the liner notes when "Please" came out.
Neil was nothing less than charming with his curly hair and long coat, and Chris was just fracking HOT with average length hair, jeans, and leathers- WOOF!!
Costumes are fun to look at, wearing wardrobe names is stylish, but in the "Please" days, they seemed more ''real'' somehow.

YES!!!!!! Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!! Though I think this was closer to the "Actually" years. Chris pulls off this look a little better than Neil though, only cuz he ''broods" better!

Those Eric Watson Suburbia shots are classic psb, to the extent that they have been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in London!
