... Erasure's 'Union Street' (released last week) entered the char at 102 in the UK album charts.
Lets hope Fundamental hits the top 100 !!!!

Erasure's a reworking of old hits and PSB's is spanking new material..
Top 10 for PSB in both Singles and Album Chart..erm hopefully

Not only that but the first single from Union Street has had nowhere near the hype as I'm With Stupid.

I'm far away from being a fan of Erasure but you really can't compare it that way. It is a minor side project and not really promoted at all. It would be fair to compare it with something like Disco 3 or even Battleship but not a proper major comeback album (and its singles)

That's not the point, exactly. 102 shows that the fanbase supporting the group to ad neusam even when there was no promotion is leaving the boat. Anything prior to Union Street was frantically supported by Erasure fans, be it a side or full project...Now they left Erasure alone two times on a consecutive basis: One for Andy Bell and one for Union Street.

Well Potemkin reached what ? I guess I heard it was 96 or something like that. I do get your point but I'm still not quite convinced
Btw does anyone have chart figures for the last Erasure albums as far as the UK is concerned ?
