So, why are you reading them, then?

I have yet to listen to any of the tracks of Fundamental and I'm quite happy in doing so.

IMO,some people are lucky enough to have connections and they normally would have shared with us its just that they dont want to get the people who gave them the promo into trouble as artists are cracking down on leaks and/or the people they work with who spread their new tracks.

so they do what they can, ie give us reviews.while there have been many reviews personally I loved to read them.I never thought it was bragging as far as my opinion.

As for not sharing, the Fundamental promo cd is apparently completely unrippable. It cannot be done!

I appreciate people letting me know good or bad it is, the reviews so far have whetted the appetite. As for these people not sharing it, it cannot be done. Promo copies are watermarked, copy controlled and cannot even be played on a computer allegedly. I've heard 2 songs to date and that's my lot until it is released next month. Oh and Zeus didn't hear it first either.........

Personally, I got the general gist that the album was good a long time ago, and haven't bothered with reviews since. Reviews are very personal and what one person finds good another can find crap, so...

Well, I always enjoy reading well-written and well-argumented reviews – even if I don't argue with them. I don't read reviews to find out whether something is "good" or "bad", because that's just a personal opinion. It's much more interesting to find out how that person has come to form that opinion, because in that process I might see the reviewed art object in a new and different light.

Based on his punctuation, elocution and grammatical skills, I wouldn't enjoy reading any review written by stoo though...

All the reviews I've read have been interesting enough, and I haven't really sensed that anybody has just posted a review to show off.
It's a bit childish to say - if you don't share the album with me, I don't want to read your opinions. People could be putting their professional life at risk by posting mp3's of the album or just protecting a source.
I actually think reading the reviews increases my anticipation of the new album.

I believe stoo meant that it is much better to start reviews when the album is officially released and most of us know what we´re dealing with.;) I don´t find a "teaser" review a very good thing for a fan in this case...

But of course there´s always the option of ignorance, mate.;)
