Suggestion for the website

Just looking through the podcast directory on iTunes, I came across one that was basically an interview with Will Young carried out by David Walliams for Will's website. I'm not a massive fan of Will, but I had a listen to it, and it was pretty good. It was obvious that Will & David were quite good friends, so the interview (4 x 15mins) was basically them having a conversation, laughing and joking about things, taking the piss out of each other etc. Seeing as Neil and David are also very good friends, I think it would be a great idea to do a similar thing for the PSB website. Good publiicty and all that. Bill, if you're reading this - can you pass the suggestion on?

What does everyone else think? I guess it would be something similar to the About CD from many moons ago. Hmmm, I haven't heard that for ages, I might dig it out.

Album interviews available

Videos for Survivors, For Your Own Good, Miracle and Flamboyant.

I don't really get the point of Podcasts. It's a cool idea tho and I'm sure they could do it.
Here's my ideas:

News
Obviously...

Gallery
HQ pics of Fundamental session, magazine sessions (Word, Q etc...), live. Including outtakes!

Media Player
Full streams of audio and video.

Downloads
Wallpapers, icons, podcast(s) etc...

Information
Biography and full discography (released, unreleased, mixes, edits etc...)

Links
Official and "personal" e.g. links to bands that N & C likes

Tour
Dates for performances and appearances. Festivals, TV and, of course, the Fundamental tour.

I would like Neil to open diary section, where he could comment world news. It might be fun...
And maybe Q|A back

I had them up there...just have to check out the media room. I am not sure if they work anymore due to EMI's hosting server updates. And...I have my doubts that the new guys will go to this level of detail.

Kinda doubt the questions section will ever come back.

I was planning to add a pretty indepth promotions section.

Again, Album interviews have been present since the 2000 build

Videos (at one time worked) were there too...but again, the hosting change really screwed a lot of things up. And until I knew I was coming back to work for them, I was not going to invest anything to fix since I would be replaced.

I would expect a scaled down website when it re-launches.

Is the re-designed website supposed to launch when Fundamental is released?

That was the original plan..but I have no idea if the new agency is on track or not...I kinda have my doubts though. It's quite an undertaking to completely rebuild the entire site and it's basically been in production for around 30 days or less. So, I would be surprised to see it launch on the 22nd but if it does launch I would expect that not all the content will be in place yet.

Yes, FANTASTIC idea and one that I tried to push for a long time..but they weren't interested. From what I have discovered...there will be no Q&A section. Its a shame... :(
