Only for people from UK. I know it's a little bit difficult to predict something about sales but:

a) I am interested in knowing how important can be "The Raconteurs" and if you think they can sell more copies of their new album "Broken boy soldier" than the first week of the release of Fundamental (for The Raconteurs, it would be the second one).

b) Just the same for Red Hot Chilli Peppers and their "Stadium Arcadium" (the first week of Fundamental's release is the third week of sales for RHCP's album).

Racontuers are successful because Jack White from White Strips is in the band. RHCP are a massive band. I imagine RHCP will still be top 3 by the 3rd week and i'd imagine Raconteurs will go top 5.

To see if there is a real chance for PSB to be number one. RHCP and Racontuers are the most important rivals they have to get the one (if there is a possibility).

PSB won't be number one. They won't be number three either, so why even mention RHCP and that other band?

I don't know how much PSB can sell and how much the other groups can sell, that's why I ask for it. According to all the sources PSB will be the highest new entry the week of Fundamental's launching, so I don't know if other previous releases can sell more than them.

PSB are likely to have the highest new entry as it is a week of few major new releases. As for number 1, that is very unlikely. Top 5 would be a major achievement, top 10 would be satisfactory.

It will be very interesting to see what happens.

They are getting a lot of publicity, particualry from the BBC and especially Radio 2. Chris Evans plugged them today, Steve Wright tomorrow afternoon, Jonathon Ross in a couple of weeks time....the single is on A list.... etc etc

The album seems to be getting good reviews too, so you never know, it may scrape into the top five, but top ten seems more likely........

I don't think that would change things to a great extent. General audience already knows what PSB are or not so pozitive reviews or publicity won't change already decided minds- otherwise PopArt should have topped the charts...ıf I'm with stupid was a smash it then this could change a little but it is not so...

My only hope is those listeners lost upon the release of "Release" if they are convinced PSB have done that suit their name, perhaps they may come back and propey the album to top ten...

It should do much better than PopArt or Disco3, though...

Chart position wise, yes. Sales wise Fundamental won't even touch PopArt.

I'd be happy with a top 10 placing for Fundamental. Album sales have really soared in the last few years and you now need to sell 25,000+ to make the top 10. I could be wrong but I think Nightlife and Release both sold comfortably less than that in their first weeks.

Red Hot Chili Peppers sold 80,000 on the first day alone this week and will most likely still comfortably outsell PSB in its third week of release. The Raconteurs' album will probably be huge as well. A number one album for PSB is sadly out of the question.

Just for the sake of curiosity, do you have any opinion about the total sales of PopArt?

100,000 in UK i think. Paltry!
