i had to get the leaked copy of the album - first i have heard of anty of the new stuff other than I'm with stupid

i have heard 3 songs now and love erm all the boys have gave us a treat first time in 6 years !

Guess I'm one of the few not to have downloaded the album?

12 days to go for me. I've lasted this far, and even though I've seen the album pretty much all over the place now, I've resisted the temptation.

Getting by listening to Girls Don't Cry and The Resurrectionist, two great 'b' sides in my opinion.

yeah i had only heard I'm with stupid before this - and i still haven't really listened to them all - i just skimmed a little

I haven't heard any of the b-sides yet - will buy the singles when i can get my hands on them

This is my first version.
Might add mp3s to the data folder tomorrow, currently has the original files in it and key. Still would like a true CD. :( Looks odd to me that the key file is 0k?

Is not too bad in quality, be better had been made from a CD/DVD rip fully. The mixes are more-or-less if not same as the originals. I've used rips where been possible. And on a couple I rid the distortion from them and others I amplified slightly. :)

iTunes don't seem as clear quality as wma. IMHO.
I guess those clever Pets are trying to brainwash us into getting used to digital downloads! Hence a couple of tracks on one service only. Do it a couple of times till it becomes the norm, then they can stop manufacturering CDs altogether and charge distributors rights. I guess they are looking after their pensions??? Sensible!

Also wonder if is a test to see if we will buy digital only albums? I hope not!

Just been doing a search...
If you have bought your files, this product will rebuild the file so that your key is removed and you can play it where you like. Like you should be able to. :)

DRM is all very well, but suppose you reinstall Windows so the key is missing. Unless you have a burnt CD or you retained a backup (however that is done) you lose all your downloads cos they won't play. Or as I am guessing, suppose I upgrade my hardware so I no longer have the same PC I did... I don't want this to happen to me or any other Pethead...

personally I think I-tunes pumps out inferior sounding downloads.

they are in the 128 range aren't they? at itunes...

On this final version I now have a data track which contains...

1. The video in WMV9 format which is amazing quality for the size of it, I re-encoded the DVD file of the single.
It surprised me how small the file is in WMV9. Divx 6.2.2 keeps going out of sync! :(

2. MP3s in 192 of all the tracks, took me a while as I had to work out how how not to chop the endings off... A grab of the CD cover - Redman saved me doing it - ta! ;) Lyrics PDF, ditto.

3. The original downloads and licence key (in a 63 bit encrypted rar - not that it matters).
See: Media Player 10/Tools/Manage Licences. If you haven't done this yet, back them up now - some files are hidden (in case you reinstall your PC clean).

This is why I only had one file of 0k before. There are four files in all on my PC!

Think I've well and truly thrashed those wretched protection systems.
Now I have something that plays in a CD player from track 2
Plays the video and MP3s on a PC!
No restrictions whatsoever! :)

So can we go back to having CDs now I've proved what a waste of time all this DVD and download messing around is?

I'm sure some country has all the tracks on a true CD.

Incidentally is Energy Mail Order still going? Who is a good supplier of promos etc these days?

I just called one record shop in Helsinki and reserved I'm with stupid cd single !!!!! It´s the only shop there who has the cd version.

They used to be good but just as pricey as Esprit. They still owe me £20 and they don't exist anymore

As for good suppliers, I think it is fair to say that promos are much harder to obtain prior commercial release dates.
