I've read in a Duch musicmagazine (Oor) that Release sold about 800.000 times...
Is this a good salesfigure for the Pet Shop Boys and what about Fundamental? Will it sell more or less than for example Release with his 800.00 copies. Any thoughts...?

guess it will sell more copies - perhaps 950.000 up to 1.200.000, but thats it!

I have two more questions (I'm not that good in PSB-salesfigures you see...

)
-) From how many copies can we speak from a "succesalbum" for the PSB?
-) What are the average salesfigures for a normal, new studio-album from the PSB?

That figure of 800.000 copies of Release seems inflated, although in the past I've heard figures of 750.000 which corresponds well with that. Having not heard those figures I would have guessed that it sold around 500.000. I would guess that Fundamental will sell in the ballpark between 500.000 and 1.000.000. Without a sizeable hit, I don't think they can pass the million mark.

If Fundamental sells well, it could help shift a handful of Release CD's

What do you mean with "sells well" for Fundamental? Between 800.000 - 1.000.000 copies? More, less? The hype at the moment is quite big, so personal, I think Fundamental will sell 1.000.000 times and more...
