I think they were a bit harsh over Numb. It does look encouraging though, all these excellent reviews - have we had a bad one yet ?

My guess is Metalhammer, but I haven't read any of those magazines.

Bad reviews: Mojo, Uncut and NME.

Uncut gave the album 3/5 and NME 6/10 – that's more "mediocre" or "mixed" than "bad", I think.

it got rave-reviews months ago and now suddenly it gets mixed reviews? i don't get it. but you must keep in mind that its just one reviewer's opinion writing the review.

Well so far Time Out, Mix Mag, Q, The Word, Attitude, Gay Times and Channel 4 text have all loved the album while Uncut and NME gave it a mediocre review. The only one that has been negative is Mojo so overall it's a critically acclaimed album so far. When reviews flood in from the broadsheet newspapers over the weekend we will see whether this remains the case.

Independent gives it 5 stars and calls it the best album of their career; Guardian awards it with four stars.
