An apology and note on "Fugitive".

I'm embarrassed to read what I recklessly posted.
It was my first impression, after exulting in the song, enjoying it immensely- then hearing the rumor of what it was about. But I did say, upset and drunk as I was, that PSB have the absolute right to write about anything- all artists do.
I agree with everyone who said, "It's a story told from the POV of the hijackers, not necessarily an endorsement". I ultimately came to that conclusion, independent of here, and it's just tonight i'm reading posts..
Again, I posted that the night I got the song, not after a week's reflection. I was stone pissed when I posted and shouldn't have. I still love it, it's got that sinister edge I normally love about PSB.
I'll take in good humor all the suggestions to lighten up- richly deserved- but the few posters who called me a "typical American" are misinformed and can mightily stuff it.
Mea culpa, I apologize for being overdramatic about it.

P.U.I posting under the influence.
we've all done it. the first step is admitting you have a problem.
PS,I consider being called a typical american a major compliment.

That's good to hear! Frankly, I was getting a bit concerned about your mental stability after reading those posts.
BTW, let me just repeat the "fact" that this song is utter genius on every level. The best PSB song since the 80's for me.

It does take guts to admit you have been wrong or misguided. I give you kudos for that.

Stuff it? Okay then

. Well done for admitting you were wrong, shame you couldn't be a little more graceful in defeat.

By the sounds of your riposte, you haven't experienced too many "victories."
The guy has apologised. He takes offence at being called a "typical American." He has every right to do so. I mean, would you want to be lumped in with Glennjridge?
Drico.

You are quite right, victories are rare especially when you support Blackpool FC. The guy has apologised but has still managed to get a dig in at the same time. I admit "Typical American" is a lazy description but it was appropriate after the Neil and Chris are terrorists rant. Anyway, I did say well done for admitting they were wrong.

There is nothing to apologize to me. What is important is that you have noticed.

This is indeed a rare post. Thank you for making it.
At least your original post sparked an - occasionally interesting - discussion

I don 't know what this note / discussion has been about,
but I like it when people are able to admit that they have
been wrong. Most people I know aren't able to do so. So,
the poster has got my respect!
I say this in general, no matter what it's been about, esp.
as this apology is posted in front of so many others ! Well
done.
