I have suddenly realised that the minimal (!) presentation and the dominance of black makes me start off less well disposed towards this album than, say, the brightness of Actually.

Dust (to dust) across the moon - the future's dark for PSB. Abba's last studio album had them in a dark gallery on the cover. Rather ironic that for an album that relaunches them confidently, there's a preoccupation with death. Would Madonna have put out something called Confessions at the Crematorium?

Actually the hats are Victorian top hats as Neil told Ross on Radio 2, but I can sort of see Neil and Chris in 1666 London at the front of a horse and carriage shouting out 'bring out your dead'.
