Fundamental - sound quality

I finally picked up my copy of Fundamental today (actually, 2 copies!). I already had some fairly decent-sounding mp3s, but the sound-quality of the actual CD was on a whole different level. It's quite stunningly produced: deep powerfull bass, and a large and detailed soundscape. It sounds fabulous on my car system (with two 10" subs

)
What does everyone else think of the sound/production quality? I give it a 10/10.

I agree, it was great to get the CD after having the lower quality MP3's for weeks.

Yeah, but I originally had crappy mp3s, but the later mp3s were of high-quality. But even the high-quality mp3s are nothing like as good as the actual CD. Usualy you can't tell this much difference.

Fundamental possesses the richest soundscapes of the PSB canon. Integral is a veritable wall of sound on a good system.

It's fantastic with earphones on. Although there is a sound that appears in both I made my excuses and Indefinate that anoys me. I'll post the exact times of the songs when i make some effort and put the cd on.

The Psychological remix has a horrid scratchy noise on it. Not on the original. Didn't notice it for ages but now that I have I can't listen to the song without hearing the scratchy noise. Argh.

The production on Fundamental deserves a 10/10. Of course they hired the best possible producer for this job.

Havin had dodgy mp3s since January, I'm really impressed with the finished product. Sounds great on the ipod too, having upped the import quality on itunes to 320kbps...FAB!!

In Indefinite I get a weird resonant noise when it's played via my car stereo; it's a kind of clicky drum beat from the left of centre that does something weird via the plastic dash in the car.
Oooh . . . . . could be an excuse for a new car.
