Preferred release formats for Minimal

Personaly, I found the formatting of 'I'm with stupid' a bit disappointing. No remixes available to buy on CD and too much stuff spread all over the place for downloads.
What would you prefer to see come the release of the boys' biggest hit for 13 years( :!: ) :?:

My preference is thus:

CD1
Minimal - Radio edit
Amazing new b-side 1
Amazing new b-side 2

CD 2
Minimal -Amazing mix 1 - Pure clubarama mix
Minimal - Amazing mix 2
Minimal -Tiga mix

Downloads - Available 2 weeks before physical release
Minimal/ the b-sides -all available to buy individually or as part of an itunes' EP
The remixes + an instrumental version - available as above

Good call.

How about a CD of even more mixes a couple weeks later?

I could care less about downloads unless they are WAVs or in some loss-less format. 128kbs?? PLEASE!

I'd go for Minimal formats to be worse than I'm with stupid:

CD

01. Minimal (radio edit)
02. b-side

only one CD and that's it...

i'd like all remixes to be download-only but very expensive (aka I'm with stupid but worse)
and i'd like if Minimal had no video because of EMI's low budget

Agreed, Chris complains about the quality of MP3's at the best of times, never mind those recorded at 128kbps.

That might be your preference, but unfortunately it's not a chart-eligible combination. If you release two cd-singles, one of them must be a 2-track, less-than-10-minutes of music single.

So I would wish for a combo like this:

CD 1:
Minimal
Amazing new b-side 1

CD 2:
As many mixes of Minimal as one can cram into the allowed 40 minutes.

DVD:
Minimal (video)
Amazing new b-side 1 (extended mix)
Amazing new b-side 2
(plus both of these audio-tracks should be on the European single, where there are no such silly restrictions as in the UK)

My prefered release format is the good old maxi-single release (as with most of the old US single releases). Usually with all of the remixes and b-sides on one CD!

Will we get it? Probably not. But you asked.

But is 2 CDs and a DVD chart eligible?
Why the f*** didn't they put 'I'm with stupid' remixes on a CD if that's the case?

A good question. But yes, two CDs and one DVD is eligible. DM have released such a combo for all their singles from Playing The Angel. It goes like this:

1. CD-single: 2 tracks, a maximum of ten minutes of music

2. CD-maxi: either a maximum of 20 minutes with 3 different tracks OR up to 40 minutes of mixes of the lead track.

If you release two CDs, one of them has to be a CD-single and the other a CD-maxi.

NO! NO! NO! You don't give up, do you? Nobody wants Fugitive on a b-side, except you. It's brilliant, but we already have it! If it's too long, you can always start listening from the one minute point.

I believe Fugitive wont be on Minimal as b-side.
Probably on single number 3=Numb
