Seven out of 10 for Liverpool gig

Liverpool gig had same set list as Sweden but replaced Before with Numb (rather topically because of previous night's airing on BBC1 over scenes of England's world cup defeat). That set list ignored Bilingual and Nightlife.

Best bits:

Neil to audience: 'We've been to the Tate [art gallery], we've been to Garlands [gay club], we've been to the Cathedrals, if I was being corny I'd say it feels like home' [then goes into Home and Dry].

Again, somewhat corny at end: 'We've done a few dates, and Liverpool, you've been our best audience so far, we'll be coming back'.

And Integral got a huge seal of approval from the audience.

The Northern members of the England team touched down in Liverpool tonight, and Go West was the encore a few miles away.

First time I have ever seen the Boys and I thought they were magnificent. So glad I took the day off work tomorrow because I am still buzzing. I really do hope that now they have finally played here, they will keep coming, maybe when our lovely new arena gets built in a couple of years :D

10/10

Well that's not going to be hard, especially after the non-atmosphere at the Tower of London gig. Where the real fans, were sittiing well away from the front of the stage. If that's what £65 buys you, then that's the last gig I'll attend of that kind.

Not to be picky, but the Pets have played in Liverpool before - Creamfields in 1999.

It was amazing, the audience was the best i've ever seen for a PSB show. I was in the middle of the 2nd row so had a much better view than at London. My only complaint was the sound was a little bass heavy at times, most notably on "Minimal". 7/10!!!!!!!! You're probably the only person in the audience who would give it such a mediocre score!

I thought it was excellent, although I nearly KO'd the girl next to me during Go West!

Setlist was a bit pants and I thought they'd have been on a bit longer.

Can't wait for the European leg of the World Tour next year!

Yes, I know they did, I have lived here all my life

That wasn't a proper PSB gig though, it was a festival appearance. I don't care who's playing, I ain't standing in no muddy field for anyone.

To be honest mate, I would class it as a concert, they did 13 tracks and it went on for about 1hr 15mins. They had Sylvia and dancers.

of course creamfields was a psb concert; it was the boys playing a festival on their terms - recreate a regency drawing room on stage, lavishly re-tool their songs, and totally thrill the crowd into the bargain. and because it was a gloriously sunny day, there wasn't any mud. it was a better concert than any of the nightlife shows, thats for sure.
