06.30 Milkman's Tune – for pet shop workers
Pet Shop Boys 'Minimal' (Tocadisco Sunday In Space Mix) (Parlophone)

Ok, so Colin & Edith let us down with their empty promises about Minimal but Rob De Bank continues to be Radio 1's consitent PSB supporter. On Saturday morning his show the Blue Room played the above remix of Minimal, this follows his playing of Psychological instrumental months ago, and Luna Park a little while back.
Incidentally, Rob is the curator for Bestival so he's obviously a bit of a fan.

Another thing, why doesn't Pete Tong EVER play PSB remixes these days on Essential Selection? He doesn't have to stick to the playlist like other radio 1 djs and you'd think, Chris having stood in for him as presenter in the past, and the fact he plays all sorts of cheesey shit, he might deign to spin a great new PSB remix, particularly Minimal which has actually got some pretty sharp mixes going around.
Nobber!

It's all gone Pete Tong. Let's email him, and the liars that are Colin & Edna.

I already did. Not confrontational or aggressive just asked them why they said they would make it SOTW (twice) then not do it?

Who's to say Colin & Edith weren't planning to make Minimal Single of the Week next week, when the song is actually released? :?

It's the new CD burner, play it every day this week I think.
He's giving the record loads of praise, "cracking single"

You actually thought Colin and Edith (1665) would do it? They are fawning pricks. They say that to all the bands. Along with Vernon Kaye, and Zane Lowe, they are the worst wastes of breaths in that cesspit.

Pete Tong doesn't like PSB, I believe. The only mixes he's ever played are the crappy ones that sound NOTHING like the band or My Head is Spinning, because he had to. New Order on the other hand...

I still stand by my thoughts on Colin and Edith. Obviously the death threats must have worked.

Well at least they're fawning pricks who keep their word lol. They obviously really do love Minimal. In retrospect, I wish I'd spoken to Colin when he passed me in my local high street the evening before he and Edna interviewed PSB last month. Maybe it's because he looked much better looking in the flash than I was expecting that I suddenly got lost for words.
