This is what PJ-newsletter says about it:
"Bono spotted in Tower Records, Dublin. He bought DVDs
including Yoga for Beginners and one by Pet Shop Boys. "

What have we done to deserve this ?

Yoga for Beginners?

Is he going to change interest from politics to yoga?

As far as for PSB, I am sure he was buying 'Disco 2'.

Whether people want to accept it or not, Bono is hugely interested in the iconography, imagery, and power of pop music. He's always had a sneaking regard for the PSBs, largely because he can appreciate the intelligence and craft at play.

The very reason that the PSBs are still in the game is the very reason they are no longer mass market. That is, a determination to write about abstract issues from an intellectual point of view has alienated the peasantry and attracted a minority of cognoscenti fascinated by themes touching on imperial Russia, Victorian gravediggers, ID card totalitarianism, and mythical erections. Er, alright, scratch the last one.

I've said it before: nobody ever lost money underestimating the intelligence of the general public. This forum is a case in point. Anyway, in the celebratory moron culture in which we now exist, the very presence of a band like the PSBs is a minor victory for cerebral expression. Bono's been clever enough to dress up his intelligence in the more credible cloak of rock 'n'roll while making the occasionally cliched prole gesture to keep the masses onside. If ever there was a pop strategist, he's your man. Given that Performance and Where The Streets Have No Name/Can't Take My Eyes Off You inspired the early 90s "ironic and pop" U2, he was probably pilfering Montage for ideas on how to destroy a perfectly serviceable live show recording.
