The Minimal remixers didn't work in a good way. So I hope that who'll remix Numb make a better work. For me the German duo Blank & Jones, Trouser Enthusiasts but Rauhofer too could make a good work for Numb. Unfortunately, Spoon is dead, he with Jam made the best remixes of PSB: Young Offender & Yesterday When I Was Mad. But, I think that PSB themselves could make a wonderful remix of Numb like they made for Here, Paninaro '95, I'm with stupid and Discoteca.

maybe strip the song down a little and bring it more down to earth.
I thinking about the sort of light but effective arrangement on a song like say, "only the wind'. simple but effective.

Please no Numb dance remixes.

Areed. And dude, you need to move into the 21st century. Like it or not that 90s are over.

I can be mistaken but I think that there will be few remixes but the lives ones (at least on the commercial cds) because their double Cd "concert" will have left a few front days.

That's pretty close to what I'd suggest actually. Personally I loved the ambient version the boys did of Home and Dry - I think they could do something similar with Numb. No other remixes, though - at least, not on the CD/DVD singles. I'd like to see three proper B-sides (one on the two-track, the other two on the Maxi CD).

Numb is difficult to remix into a dance track, since it's not a 4/4 time song. Out of the remixers you mentioned, the only one I would trust to remix Numb in a good way is Jam El Mar. He's now back in business, performing and remixing on his own.

A Jam & Spoon best of album is due for release soon, compiling all their singles AND best remixes, including a completely revamped version of "Be.Angeled", recently played live at the Love Parade, as a tribute to Mark Spoon.

I think Covenant or VNV Nation could do a dark and freezing version. No dance track, of course.

And please no Superchumbo again, he'd ruin another song I love.

Normally I like remixes but I just can't see them for Numb. If they are going to have some mixes these are what I'd like:

Single mix
Acoustic version
Orchestral version
Electronic version

No remixes please! In fact, forget about the mixes and just give us b-sides

Mark my words. IF Numb gets released, note the IF, there will NO Numb remixes 1 CD will have the studio version (+ "new" tracks), The other the Live version (2 track CD so 1 added live track) . DVD will have the live version and a remix of a Fundamental track + 1 of the "new" tracks.


Yeah yeah just saw a Missing episode and had this vision.

It is highly likely that there may only be 2 formats for the 3rd single to keep production costs down:

ie
2track cd & DVD
or
2 track cd & maxi-cd

Still want the Fundamental Orchestral Overture (a la ABC) that is mentioned in Literally - and Numb sung in English (Neil tried it, but I still think it would sound better) rather than American...

I wouldn't want a dancey remix either. urgh. it'd be laughable methinks. I'd love a grand orchestral one though. aka the BBC concert one. it'd be very different from anything else PSB's put out.

But that will be on CD next month anyway, so why waste the space? I'd prefer they loaded a Numb single with b sides. Just give us two EPs basically. I'm sure we all listen to the B sides a lot more than we listen to the orchestral mixes of Somewhere or No Time for Tears...
