My Boston Show Sob Story

Just wanted to agonize over this one more time before I let it go :)
So, I was excited to see the Pet Shop Boys for the first time in Boston on 10/13, and was lucky enough to have a ticket in the pit section so, Friday afternoon, I excitedly left work for the two-hour drive to Boston.
Of course, what happened is that a major accident on I93 closed two lanes of the highway, making a quick trip a four-hour ordeal, so I go there in time to see the second half of the show (which was almost worth anything that had gone before - of course, now I'm itching to see them again!).
Anyway, if you saw an irritable-looking guy at the beginning of the second half of the show, I apologize. I also hope that nobody was seriously injured in that accident (you do have to put these things in perspective - if I had left earlier, it might have been me).
And that's my Friday the 13th story. Thanks for reading (or just bearing with me.)

Sorry to read of your misfortune.

I hate motorway hold ups too and often have to endure first gear crawling on the M1 on the (90 mile) way up to Doncaster to watch the football, and know the torture of knowing you're going to arrive late.

No need to apologize. PSB first, car crash fatalities second.

Unfortunately, no (I'm not sure how to go about that stuff), but being that close to the stage was thrilling enough for me!

OMG...I was stuck in that traffic too..!! I had left work and went directly downtown, but I only live about 30 minutes from the city. I was 1/2 mile from the accident and was stuck in it for over 1 1/2 hours myself. I got there at 8:15pm myself, and caught 'dreaming of the queen', 'heart', and 'integral', then it was intermission. I was highly pissed myself. it totally sucked, and i was sitting in probably the worst road rage situation i had ever been in my life. :( I tried taking the whole day off from work because i just 'knew' it would be bad driving downtown at 6pm, but I couldn't get out of it. but trust me, never ever again. thankfully tho, I have seen them 3 times before, but it's been a few years, and I was really really bummed I missed 'Minimal' and 'S.h.o.p.p.i.n.g'. grrrrrr so where do you live if you're 2 hrs away? Just curious.

Lebanon, New Hampshire (not to be confused with the Middle Eastern Country - it certainly makes reading the local paper a little scary sometimes, as they don't differentiate in the headlines...)

I93 sucks when it merges to two lanes after Manchester. However, I'm glad you got to see some of the show. My wife had some work event planned for Friday, that was organised long befroe the talk of a PSB concert, so my and my daugter just played their albums and danced about the house like a pair of eejits! I did see them on the Performance tour, so there always those memories. Still, I'm sure the lads have many more tours in them. We'll all carpool next time!
