7digital downloads - how to play them in mp3 player?

I have downloaded - and paid for - the two new b-sides from 7digital.com. They are in Windows Media format, and now I wonder: how do I play them in my mp3 player?

I know for sure that the player is meant to play both mp3 and wma files, but whenever I download a song in wma it can't be played. This time it says "no authority" if I try to put "Bright young things" or "Party song". I know there is a kind of "license" for this type of music files, can anyone help me? What's the point in legally downloading a track when you can't listen to it in your mp3 player! Should have bought the disc instead... :(

I think you need to play them in Windows Media player. You should get prompted to acquire the licenses, once this is complete you can play them / burn them to cd.

I had a load of problems. I ended up burning to CD and then re-encoding into MP3.

I just download them and then convert them to mp3. Sound quality is not really an issue in a noisy tube at 7.30 in the morning. :)

Exactly, I have to ask the same thing. The mp3 softwares I have used so far are able to convert only from mp3 into wma, but not the other way around. Surely there must be some software that can convert a wma file into an mp3 as well? Could you give us a tip?

I'd stick with Padster's method (get the licence via MediaPlayer)and keep them in WMA because of the sound quality. At low bitrates WMA is far less crap than MP3.

It's the software that came bundled with my Creative Media player.
