Numb sold just under 6,000 copies, which is very poor. This week, you got a top ten hit if you sold 7,000. So maybe poor sales was the norm for everyone. Is the single chart really dead in the water? It looks like it.

Which online sites and stores count towards the charts these days? If I buy from HMV online - do these count towards the UK chart count? (only asking as the records come from Guernsey).

It's not that bad then if you only needed another thousand to get in the top 10

Makes it even more sad. If only they had come up with a proper cd1.... that might have given them the few 200-300 copies to land inside the Top 20. *sigh*

Well way I see it, if it's not in the shops (Woolworths, etc) and it's not promoted what do they expect??? I don't think Minimal was promoted much to be honest and that also had distribution problems... Both Minimal and Numb could have easily been Top 15 if EMI had actually tried to promote them...

Very true. Yet the music industries whinge when people illegally download stuff and at the same time, don't put any effort in to advertising or distributing music properly.
