Now come on EMI get your act together and release '' Integral '' as a single, nearly all '' Fundamental '' reviews I have read have seen this as the stand out track. I would love to see it double a - sided with '' Fugitive '' another brilliant PSB song. Can anyone let me know how it ( Integral ) has been received when played live on tour ?

I reckon it would get the boys back to the top end of the charts and give a real boost to the sales of '' Fundamental ''

'' Numb '' is the first cover song single not to do so well so lets quickly forget that and get something much more PSB orientated out with '' Integral '' ...... EMI, it must be obvious !!!

I second this, although I actually wonder why I bother... - This eventual 4th single probably won't be released in the Netherlands at all, just like Numb :(

The main reason why I would love to have a 4th single, are the B-sides, actually.

I want a new single purely for the b-sides too, but don't you realize that a double a-side considerably lessens the chances of the new b-sides? For it to be a proper a-side release, both songs would have to be included in some form on all formats.

Don't think there is any point. No one that matters seems to give a toss. For some odd reason, you couldn't get Minimal in a lot of stores until the end of the week and Numb was hardly available anywhere. There is something wrong because the official site is actually asking people if they are having trouble getting the singles. Surely the OS should know where it's available?

Everything gets delayed. Most products have some sort of problem. There seems to be a trend that putting out a PSB product is too much effort.

I agree with Undertaker about the distribution problems. It's worrying.

Eldritch: isn't it possible to have:
cd1: Integral (radio edit), Fugitive (radio edit)
cd2: Integral (remix), Fugitive (remix), new song 1, new song 2

And then there's even a 12-inch for more Integral/Fugitive remixes.

No, because you can only have (versions of) three different songs on the cd2. You could have for instance "Integral/Fugitive/new song 1/Integral (remix)" if the running time doesn't exceed 20 minutes, but four different songs aren't allowed even in that time frame. The other option is of course to release 40 minutes of remixes of only one track.

OK, then we make it an 'unofficial' double A-side. Just release that 7-inch edit of Fugitive as a bonus track. :D

That's of course always possible. Plus sending promos that have both songs on them.

Do you know if you can have a 3rd cd? Next to the 2-track cd-single and the maxi cd-single? Would it be chart eligible?

It is not a cover song! It is a Pet Shop Boys song written by Diane Warren the same way it would be an Aerosmith song if they had taken it.

I was actually thinking about this last night. You can only release 3 formats of a single one week yeah? (Numb: 2xCDs + 12", Minimal: 2xCDs + 1xDVD, I'm with stupid: 1xCD, 1xDVD, 1x7") So, could it not be possible to release 2xCDs one week and 3rd limited edition one week only CD the following week? They could include the remixes on there for peeps who don't like downloads.

No, you can't. The third format has to be either 7", 12" or a dvd single. However, why not do like Depeche Mode have done a couple of times – release cds + cdm + 12"/dvd on the release date and then 3-4 weeks later an extra maxi cd that has all the mixes that didn't fit on the previous releases. It won't be chart-eligible, but the fans are able to buy what they want. And because it's not chart-eligible, that third extra cd maxi doesn't have to adhere to the stupid rules, which means the content is really good value for money.

I 100% agree with your answer. And if you want to be really clever, you release this cd-maxi in Europe too, where you DON'T release the UK cd1 and cd2. That way, European fans will buy the UK cd1 and cd2 as well. General music lovers (who don't mind PSB B-sides, but like a particular single) will just buy the cd-maxi.

I'm with stupid could have had such a cd-maxi:
1. I'm With Stupid
2. I'm With Stupid (Max Tundra remix)
3. I'm With Stupid (Abe Duque remix)
4. I'm With Stupid (Melnyk remix)
5. I'm With Stupid (PSB Maxi Mix)

Madonna apparently does the same, all the time.
