Does anyone know who runs the myspace.com/petshopboys site?

Because that site needs a complete design overhaul! Not to mention finding better pictures to post in the profile...

They are from fans of course. Since PSB does not have an official presence on myspace. Just send a message to that person.

PSB denied being behind that Myspace site. It's a pity that PSB didn't yet discover Myspace. Many artists do in fact run their own profile.

I've never understood the point of established artists getting a myspace account. What is the point? ESPECIALLY if you alreay have your own website.
The point of music on myspace is for all the unsigned bands that couldn't get discovered to have an outlet to get the music out. It just doesn't make sense...

Chris Lowe also said (i forget where) that he doesn't like all that myspace stuff, and they would certainly never run their own.

What about contact with fans? Or, given the high amount of visitors: being visible. Very important in marketing. A (general) music lover who's browsing profiles on Myspace, then stumbles accross an account of 'Artist X', clicks it and gets to hear 1-2 new songs... etc...

You've surely been a fan long enough to know that PSB would never stoop so low to do any of those things.....

I think a lot of established artists have done it because if they don't do it somebody else does it and pretends to be the established artist.

Why not? Seriously.... tell me

I don't see why they wouldn't. So many artists are on MySpace, why couldn't PSB be?

OK- take off the blinders and realize that I was being completely facetious by saying that.
Seriously....

OK... - Your humour is kind of difficult to understand, as long as we have no idea who you are. If you had a reputation on this forum (and I bet you do, only under a different name), we might be able to understand if your comments are meant cynical or so....

Whatever.
Any PSB fan knows that PSB doesn't go out of their way for the fans.
You just think that everyone is disagreeing with you and don't allow yourself to fully understand what is being said. Lighten up.

It was in fact Chris Lowe who said in the Pop Justice interview this past summer, that Myspace is a waste of space.

Well, either I seem to misread something, I am not getting the point being made or so... - I just thought that some people over here think that PSB would never run a Myspace site, and I wonder why they wouldn't. They communicate with fans in many ways, one being the messages on their official site.
