I'm bored. Go figure. Not bored enough to scroll back to the past pages of topics (face it, who does?) so apologies is this has been covered before, but I'm curious to see who is the most closely connected person to Pet Shop Boys through various degrees.

For example:

My good friend, Dan Hannon, is a writer for "Happy Madison" and is friends with it's owner, Adam Sandler, who starred in the movie "Spanglish", the music for which was composed by Hans Zimmer, who was a founding member of Video Killed the Radio Star group "The Buggles", along with Trevor Horn, who has produced for Pet Shop Boys. (5 degrees)

or....

I once was lucky enough to get the chance to propose to singer Andrea Corr (she politly declined), who starred in the movie "Evita" alongside Madonna, who's song Sorry was remixed by Neil and Chris. (3 degrees)

Told ya I was bored!

I am Brian Eno stalker. Brian Eno is musician and producer famous for collaborations with U2 (among others). U2 once had a song 'Where The Streets Have No Name'. This song has been covered by Pet Shop Boys.

A friend of mine drank tea with the Pet Shop Boys in a UK studio once. That's 2 degrees

I work in the same publishing group as quite a few journalists (who I know) who have interviewed the boys. Guess that makes 2 degrees.

I'm quite proud of my 2 degrees to George W Bush too. My father-in-law was a friend and colleague of his brother Jeb, and once almost got in a fist fight with George at a dinner party, after far to much to drink - both of them.

1: My best friend and former recording engineering partner produced Kon Kan's first record (won a production Juno for "I Beg Your Pardon" in 1988).

2: Another member of Kon Kan was Barry Harris. Barry Harris later went on to be 50% of Thunderpuss.

3: Thunderpuss remixed New York city boy.

Incidentally, Barry Harris was also at the Toronto concert last month.

so 3 degrees.

Here's another i jsut thought of, on a different track.

1: I once did a remixing contract for Vince DeGiorgio, on a track called "Good Thing" by Masters of Vision, for BMG records.
http://www.discogs.com/release/226584

2: Vince Digiorgio co-composed Inner City's "Follow Your Heart" single in 1992, which was produced by Kevin Saunderson.
http://www.discogs.com/release/68060

3: Kevin Saunderson remixed "Go West".

So there's another three :)

I'm friends with Fruitbat from Carter USM. They covered Rent, and did a mighty fine job of it too, I might add.

Retro. :)

My then friend Dave, has/had a friend called Ben, he met the boys because of some school event way back (first Russian exchange I think). I bought his signed Actually with US 12". Does that count?

Nearly met them on think was the Montage tour or Nightlife, but decided that the train won as was the last and work for some silly time next day. Then I turned an interview down once so could go to one of the concerts. It were a naff job anyway so I did myself a favour.

Ah. Let´s try. I´ve shaken their both hands. :D I´ve seen Neil copmpletely drunk. Ok, I know many others here have experienced that too.
I once talked to a person on the phone who´s colleagues had seen Neil in Heaven or some other club. And then that person him/herself (can´t remember anymore) had been cleaning Neil and Chris´s hotel rooms in Sweden some years back and told me that they had cut their hair there. :D I know it´s weird but true.
I got to know one of their tour bus drivers last summer.

Actually PSB had a recording session or something like that with Brian Eno when preparing Nightlife album IIRC.

Anyway, I think using Eno - Bowie would make a bit stronger degree (direct collaboration DB - PSB). :D
