I hope they do a proper recording of it. The version I have (and I'm sure the one everybody else has) is a live recording from the John Peel show.

It may be non commercial, but it is still copyrighted material. Please don't ask for copyrighted material in public, it is against the rules of the forum.

Thank you.

That was a John Peel session, recorded at Maida Vale Studios, not a live recording.

Nothing against the rules, only a related technical question - if I record a song from the radio, am I breaking copyrights by the very act of recording it?

Here's one oddity that I've got burned onto a cd!

Everybody got a version with a "fade-in" intro?

Hmm, if it is so, then I dare to ask one "devil's advocate" question.

I do understand that for example copying original CDs is a different / illegal case, when only the original CD gave profit - when first sold - to the artist, not the copies.

But what is the difference between:
a) 10 people make their own recording of a song from the radio = 10 people have the radio recording
b) 1 person makes a recording of a song from the radio and makes a copy for other 9 people = 10 people have the radio recording
Why should anyone be blamed / warned etc. for putting up something that everyone could have recorded legally (?) and for free from the radio? (Well of course not everyone literally is receiving BBC Radio, but that's only a side fact IMO.)

Please understand I don't want any bad argue, I'm just trying to put things in a different perspective and see why it actually is morally good or bad, when the result may be the same. But then again, it may still be illegal to even record from a radio, and my speculations are of no avail. :)
