Q: I'd like to know whatever happened to the rumoured Pet Shop Boys collabaration. Was it a load of silly rumours?
A: Well, Jo(h)nathon, not quite. They just handed something in a bit late which is a bit sad isn't it? I was working on my second album and we were supposed to work together and then on literally the last day of me recording the album, like all the production being finished, a bike turned up with a song from them and I was like that's lovely but I've handed the album in now. But I'd like to work with them again... well, I didn't work with them before. One day it'd be nice. I am a fan of Pet Shop Boys. I heard from someone, I don't know if it's true, that one of them did want to work with me and the other didn't and that's why they were late. So, erm, maybe I can just work with one of them. Pet Shop Boy, that would do.
Hope they get to work together, I like her voice and her new track, Catch You, is good. So is the one on the PJ album, Dear Jimmy

Even some years ago, Sophie told in an italian radio that she wanted to work with PSB. I hope that someday this can happen. I like Sophie's music and she so beauty and sexy. I hope that her new album will be more like Read My Lips not a flop like Shoot From The Hip. too much pop and few dance. Catch you seems tha it will can be a hit.

She reminds me more of Soft Cell than PSB of whom she is often referred to as sounding a bit like.

Oh, I didn't know that... I remember PSB saying they re-worke that track for Closer to Heaven and that it might appear as a b-side someday.

Which is what song? I hate it when people post these abbreviations and then I have to go through the entire PSB discography to find out what it is.

Yep I'm pretty sure it was 'In The Club Or In The Queue' (ITCOITQ)...I like saying that now and again

I'm also a big Sophie fan and I look forward to her new album...
A snippet of the demo track from the early eighties has been heard on a BBC Radio 1 documentary I think...I still have the tape recording
