Maybe, the right question is: how bad has Fundamental sold in UK?.

I ask myself if they have sold more copies around the world than they did with Nightlife or Release.

Well it's sold badly if you are comparing it to releases such as Actually & Introspective etc but in my opinion the true test is how it has sold compared to Release and Nightlife and i suspect it's done very well in that respect.

Well it definitely sold better than Release, both in the UK and worldwide. Not so sure about Nightlife. In relative terms, its probably sold quite well. I don't think they're ever going to have another Very but Fundamental seems to have done good business around the world.

Some of the more clued-up members will probably chip in with the numbers, I've seen them crop up in a few topics.

Nightlife - 1.2 million (mostly off the back of New York city boy, which was a sizeable global hit)
Release - 750,000
Fundamental - 900,000 (most recent estimate I read)

Still pretty respectable figures, really.

I've read that Release has sold about 800.000 copies but 900.000 for Fundamental for me is too much. In UK, Fundamental has received a Silver Sales Certificates for 60.000 copies. I think it's hard that Fundamental has sold 840.000 in the other countris. But if it's true, it's a good result even if I hoped that it could arrive to 1 milion :(

I've bought 2 copies of Fundamental: the european limited edition and the japanese limited edition. But I'b buy too the standard Japan edition with 1 CD and the video of I'm With Stupid. And I've read that a chinese edition with only 10 songs already exists

I agree. Certainly if you take into consideration that the single choices from these albums were pretty 'unlucky'... - I don't know what you want but I can't give it any more was a disasterous choice, New York city boy did reasonable, Drunk only reached #8 in a silent music week in the UK. Release didn't really have hit singles in the first place and some of the best Fundamental single candidates weren't released as singles (Integral, Fugitive, The Sodom And Gomorrah Show).

Very good numbers actually, considering that the cd market in general is in a pretty bad shape, sales figures falling every year....

I am sure those numbers are for digital too. It was in the top 10 in almost every country on itunes when it was released.
