When PSB re-sign last year how many albums did they sign for as am sure was for another four but with the news/rumours of Parlophone axing 2 of it's acts next week it's been said that the deal was for only 2 more albums. IMO this doesn't seem worth it to me and am sure at the time I read it was for more than 2.

Mind you, if that includes Fundamental and Concrete then that is 2 down already.

The Pets' last Parlophone contract apparently expired on the very day that Fundamental was released - 22 May 2006. Neil has said previously that the Pets do not have a traditional contract with Parlophone, although I cannot find the exact quote just now.

So that would leave 5 as fundamental is with the iold contract.
Anyway cheers for clarity.

I didn't know when the old contract expired when I made original post.
So yes, it would appear that Concrete was the first release from the new deal leaving 5 remaining.

Then if we assume that they will release three proper albums, one disco-like material and a god-knows-how-many-times greatest hits package, then we can safely say that they will still be around when it is 2015?
That's quite fantastic, indeed...

I'd read that All Sinners were finally getting the chop. Didn't know Divine Comedy were still on the go.

This All Saints reunion is pathetic. They just took a maternity leave. So basically they never borke up but it sounds so much more exciting to talk about a reunion. And people fall for reunions over and over again, see Take That.

Although it looks like that, I think they did actually all fall-out at one time and the two sisters had a (very) brief foray into the lower reaches of the charts in 2002. Personally, I think this "reunion" was very much money orientated - and it's backfired!

I dont think Concrete would count towards one of their proper albums. It's normally in the contract that an album is only made up of all new material. This also fits with what Neil said recently that the last deal had been signed way back in 1990- so that would make sense:
1. Behaviour
2. Very
3. Bilingual
4. Nightlife
5. Release
6. Fundamental
Then normally there is a Greatest Hits or something added to the contract as an additional obligation.

I didn't realise that The Divine Comedy had been dropped too.

Or rather their contract wasn't renewed, since the three-year album deal signed in 1999 was completed last year. Which isn't a great surprise to anyone concerned. The last year's Victory For The Comic Muse album was released with absolutely no promotion whatsoever – even Neil Hannon himself commented that EMI just put it out, because they had to.
