Berwick Street in Soho is a good place to start...

Map

Reckless Records should have a selection
Music, Video Exchange should do too
Sister Ray will definately have some.
Is Selectadisc still there?

These 4 stores are all within about 50 yards of each other..

If you are visiting over the 28th April, then there is a Record Fair at Olympia

and the Vinyl Exchange at Notting Hill Gate

Map

maybe you also will find somethings cheap on the markets at Westburn Park Station or Camden Market on weekends.
Maybe you'll find there still this 'CD/vinyl market' (near Camden Town sub station), which was there from time to time on weekends.

ladbtm4fun, please check the e-mail account in your profile! It isn't working (anymore) and the software will disable your account here, if you don't change it within the next 24 hours...

I'll be in London in September and was wondering the exact same thing i.e. where to get old PSB stuff. So thanks for the info, I shall check those places out. I'll be staying right on Oxford St so the Soho places will be very handy.

Last time I checked in any of them was ages ago! Defo before I'm with stupid was released anyway. Never had anything interesting. My stuff is just as interesting or slightly more interesting and perhaps be going to the dumper as I'm getting fed up of collecting, and not enough space in my flat to accommodate such things. I can't see many people wanting to buy from me because they think I want to much. But, if they think that I charge prices for PSB goods at prices on the website which I've not updated for years, they are living in the past!

Thanks for the links. I'm off to London in Oct/Nov for the Carter USM reunion gig and I'm keen to check out the music shops while I'm there.

Retro. :)

There's always a certain kind of thrill when you go looking around those record shops, as opposed to ordering stuff from the net from some faceless dealer. :D

Regardless of what grumpy Techno says, they do get some good stuff in on a regular basis, and if you're lucky you can pick up some great bargains, as they have such a high turnover of stock, they sometimes mis-price some real gems.

Enjoy yourselves and happy hunting.

:D

that's certainly true re: bargains. I got the Discoteca green sleeve 12" promo for £1.50 and Drunk double pack for a quid for Music and Video exchange Berwick Street. The Notting Hill branch has got an excellent PSB section (or at least did have) prices tend to be higher though.
