I Love the song and first heard it while I was on this job (Cuers. France), made a little montage that I think fits it well.
Paninaro (italian remix) was my second choice....

Sorry to break it to you, but you do know the song is about terrorism? Quite the opposite use of air machines than shown in the video...

Fluffmoln,
No need to be sorry, you didn't break it to me... I have been a lurker in these forums for months and was aware of the popular belief about the meaning of the song.
Though I didn't know it had been confirmed officially by PSB or their management, that was breaking news, thanks.
I felt the song had a tempo and dynamism that went well with the clip, and was extra relevent to me personally because I first heard it while I was in the South of France on the job shown in the clip. You know how a song can have great meaning to individuals depending on the scenario where you hear it. First kiss, first dance... you know where I am going.
I have already had comments from friends and colleagues who have seen the clip enthusing about the tune. These are not your typical PSB fans. That can't be a bad thing can it?
Maybe a few more copies of Fundamentalism will leave the shelves as a result...

That's quite controversial for me:
On one side I see the point fluffmoln makes the same way. On the other side: this is rather a commercial than a video-clip. I'm not into Cessnas, so I'm not able to see the fun of watching them flying and spraying whatever for 5 minutes. But there are some good parts in it - especially the intrumentals are edited quite well!
P.S.: Would like to see the Paninaro-Version as well - I love the Italian Remix!!!

Ooh! A challenge with rolling eyes! How thrilling...
In a survey by
Geowayne (search for Survey number #304) 57% of the voters (combined) believe it is. Mr. Studer also has a
very apt interpretation about it.
Someone on the forum also wrote about meeting Richard X (the producer) and when talking about the song, Richard mentioned the lyrical content being about terrorism (unfortunately I can't find that particular post).
Though I should clarify that what I meant when I wrote that "the song is about terrorism" is that it is from the point of view of someone dealing with the everyday reality of it. Search the forum, there's been many discussions about it.

Wasnt a challenge, just dont agree with the statment that its about terrorists.
i personally (IMO) think
http://www.geowayne.com/master.html?htt ... m#fugitive Very Different Interpretation #2: is a more likely meaning behind the song.
However, these are my opinions and we will never know the real meaning until PSB themselves explain (if they ever will

)
No offence meant etc etc

Its clearly about terrorists. Doesn't take Richard X or a geowayne poll to work that one out.
The point isn't so much that the song is from the point of view of terrorists, and questions whole idea of the faith and futility of terrorism but so what if it is, and so what if people want to project their own interpretation? It's clearly anti-terrorists and anti- religious fundamentalism. Which is nice, I suppose.
