Blair is my favorite premier in Europe, I think he was the ultimate European leader. His last speech was very good.
Hopefully he stays around.

I admire the guy cause he took an unpopular position and stuck it out.

Blair has flair. He has a high IQ and EQ.
He did what he felt was right for the country and for the world.

They say Gordon Brown is smart too, but he has definitely not the flair of Blair.

He's definitely the man to lead Europe into the rest of the Arabian Peninsula looking for non-existent weapons of mass destruction.

"was" is the word. He would have made a great "President of Europe" - until after 9/11.

I'll admit though, I was quite impressed with his final speech as well. I think he knows he perhaps didn't make the right decisions at times.

I think people are too hard on Blair or Bush.the concept in general was a positive in spite of the pretty bad outcome we see today.

to me its the equivelent of had the allied lost in WW2 and people think, well it wasnt a worthy ideal to battle hitler cause they lost.

if it was a success it would have been a pretty well needed upgrade to the middle east. but it wasnt so, its only bad thoughts all around rather than put the blame where it belongs on the extremist mentality that stopped success for the people there.

i agree. bush did it just for oil. there was no chance of installing democracy in irak by just killing saddam. all experts (political, military, diplomats...) at that time expected a development like we see it today: civil war. and blablair knew it, i am sure. bush didnt, i am shure, too.

theres always going to be the talk of "war for oil'. it was even brought up in the first gulf war.

truth is ,you say that so easily without any idea of the logistics of how that would even happen.seriously,how does that happen? does it get put in trucks? does it then go to ship.....and then go to america ports oh ,its all just so stupid.

how many people in the media alone, would love to uncover that and present it to say AHA! see we told you.yet nothing.this huge supposed operation.

but it never happnes. because it isnt happening.I know what I pay at the pump. if only we stole their oil.
