Thought I'd sneak into an internet cafe and get the first post in.

Excellent night at the BBC. Can't remember the full setlist, but it started with Being Boring, had Kings Cross in the middle (!) and finished with It's A Sin.

The sound in the venue was amazing, best live sound I've heard. No dancers, but all three backing singers were there.

A great night, just too short.

Fantastic fantastic fantastic. Best sounding PSB gig I've been to. Crystal clear and detailed enough to hear the quietest hi-hat or tambourine pattern!

No distractions of crappy video or terrible dancers (see my earlier post re Hammersmith ) just great songs with Neil on good vocal form.

Highlights - the epic and touching Kings Cross sounding better than ever, a swinging Can You Forgive Her, a stomping Heart, the brooding and atmospheric West End Girls.

A truly great night and a real privilege for the 400 of us who were there.

What about Kings Cross?

All familiar arrangements unfortunately, as they have done all this tour. Kings Cross is worth listening to with SMJ getting her (ample) lungs involved towards the end. Also Chris went a bit mad with the piano at the end of It's a Sin.

With only 1 hour on the radio on Saturday I reckon they'll go with:

Just got back to the hotel ....

Concert was bloody awesome !

Was sitting in the second row right in front of Neil, but with the stage being pretty much up against the first row's knees it was a great view where ever you were in the auditorium.

The sound quality of the sound was way better than on the concerts but that was to be expected.

There was a bit of a standoff with a few of the competition winners, a few had been told that their ticket was for them and a guest .... cue quite a bit of discussion with them and the stewards.
(I hope the guy from Scotland managed to get in, fair do's he'd been queueing since about 4pm. )

My mate managed to get in by the skin of his teeth after running from Oxford Circus tube station. All the seats were taken on the ground floor, but luckly the stewards managed to get him a place on the balcony.

I felt that Sylvia partially ruined Kings Cross with her warbling. Took away the edge of it.

Neil asked everyone to stand for the last 3 numbers, It's a sin was awesome though, with Chris changing the chords and quite a bit of tinkering about on his keyboard.

I was gonna risk a photo with my phone camera at the very end, but they exited the stage too quickly. There was absolutely no chance I'd risk it earlier as the stewards informed us that if they even see a phone on display anywhere, they'd throw you out of the building without a second thought !

Kings Cross was the highlight, Neil sung it beautifully, so lets hope they don't cut it.

Sound was stunning. Chris' fingers were working over time tonight! It was great to hear all the live keyboard parts he was playing so clearly.

Neil was a little in tour mode! I think he thought he was doing yet another date on it!

Also amusing to see Pete G,from where I was sitting, with a finger hovering above the button and pushing it for all that amazing sound coming pouring out of the rig!

The only thing that baffles about the BBC is this. They have a building, that has cost millions to renovate and bring up to standard, yet they need a truck sitting outside to record it all. Can someone explain why this is the case? Surely, there must be a cheaper and more efficient way to record an hour concert!

He changed the melody too! Quite nice to hear a Fantastia and Variation on It's A Sin by Chris Lowe! Be interesting to see how it sounds on the wireless!

I am glad you all enjoyed it. Its too bad pictures were not allowed.

Whole show was more than one hour? Too bad if we won't hear it all ...
