Hi there,

Just read this morning at :

http://www.petshopboys-online.com/index ... &menu=news

I am curious if anyone has any further news or views ?

Sorry Pets if this may spoil any surprise you planed for the fans. But we got the information today, that a 'Disco 4' release is in process for July 9th by Parlophone/EMI. We're currently not sure if this info is serious or just a rumor (which came up on the Introspective mailinglist).
On the other side, Chris was talking about 'Integral' "...which might be a single at some point..." in a BBC Interview a few days back. Coincidence? Who knows!

Cheers,

Britboy

This almost certainly won't be true. They released Fundamentalism. Also they are on tour.

However, in which BBC interview did Chris mention Intergral as a single?

yeah but Fundamentalism was a remix album.....who says Disco 4 will be a remix album...could be a new dance album with mostly new dance tracks!!!

So, from now to the end, will we get another round of "Disco" with each new studio album? Looks like absurd...

I too welcome any PSB releases and I have to say personally that I was very disappointed by Fundamentalism (except for the almighty ' Fugitive ' ), it felt sort of half hearted and was greatly over shadowed by the main album and so maybe we will now get something that sits proudly alongside the excellant Disco 3, bring it on guys :)

Yes, and quite rightly so. Wish they had kept that one in the closet........
But if it's anything as good as Disco 3, yeah, let's have it!

Well, this has become very interesting, the hmv release date has the album penned in during August. So, maybe, for once my cynicism is misplaced. I'm about ready to get very excited. Its almost shameful.

I'd actually want something along the lines of Disco 3 but more cohesive and less remix orientated. I suppose the fact that they've been into the studio recently hints that possibly, if this is released, that the album could be more than just the cobbling together of left-over tracks from previous album/b-side sessions.

Of course, it's always welcome, we all appreciate it very much and still waiting for any new Boys' release (well, most of us). But can't you see there is something inconceivable in releasing Disco 4 in four years after previous "Disco" release? Well, should we expect then that title of 10th studio album will break "one-word" naming conception?

I can't see anything 'inconceivable' in releasing another remix/dance album 4 years after the last one. I suppose if it wasn't called Disco 4 then this point would be even less contentious.
