Upon it's initial release back in the joys of 91, Where the streets have no name was hardly out of my CD player (joys of 91???) but then it gradually faded to the bottom of my playlist for no apparent reason, ok the VIDEO (again, the joys of 91) of Performance might have had something to do with it what with ommiting the I can't take my eyes off you section due to copyright reasons. Anyway, since hearing it Live at Glastonbury (2000) Release Tour (2002) & the present (& best) Fundamental tour it has made it's way back on my MP3 (ahh, the joys of 07). The current live version is pure sequencing at it's very best. The bassline can run through my ears all day & night for all i care. It has totally enhanced the song & although it has always been a bit cheesy as far as the talents of Tennant & Lowe are concerned, it's done in a proffessional way (love it when Neil waves his hands on Cubisim, cheesy see). Sylvia adds her new dimensions to the song as well "I'm burning..."
I believe Where the streets have no name should replace Go West as the finale anthem of any future live setlist.
After all this i have to mention U2, oh no, "they don't deserve this"

Yep, it's always been one of my favs and it was great to see it in concert.

It always appears in any one of my PSB compilations I do for the MP3 player or car.

I agree, their "Streets" is still tremendously listenable. I'm sort of wondering as I type if that was the song where Pete Gleadall's signature pumping sequencers became THE psb sound.. perhaps not, "so hard" had some too.. but that was Faltermeyer I suppose.

(Also, I'm not at all sure Gleadall worked on "Streets" but I'm thinking he might have).

Pete Gleadall is amazing though. If PSB turn down a knighthood they should give it to Pete.

I love this song so much!! I always listen to it when I want to hear the PSB. I love Miracles alot too!!!

PSB were pretty much down the pan here is Australia until Streets came along and gave them a top 10 hit. It was the peak of the dance party era and it was played at all the big parties at the time, I remember getting so excited every time it came on. So I have quite fond memories of it as well.

I like "Streets". As for Bono and U2, well, they deserved it.

Cue dvtb and his joke-worn-thin mantra.

This has always been a Guilty Pleasure of mine.

Only PSB could do a medley of U2 & Frankie Valli & pull it off so handily.

Rarely have 2 Pop songs fit together so snugly. And so Fabulously.

I wish there was a remastered version of the full version (i.e. not the edit, not the exteneded mix) which was on the original CD single.

It's their best cover(s) IMO.

A classic. Sequencers set to 'magic'. What I've always liked about it was the high-timbre hi-hat/tambourine that you hear throughout on the downbeat or whatever it's called. Subtle, yet rhythmically powerful and ingenious.
