Bought and watched this today.

The highlight is Chris playing the the Wurlitzer (spelling) in the opening part.

Utterly brilliant, lovely and informative viewing.

That is all.

I agree, that part is excellent.

I second that, I adore this DVD and is one of the best documentaries. Just they spend too much time on Closer to heaven and on Being Boring. They skip the tours like the Performance tour. I did not like that.

Agree. I watch a PSB DVD most Friday nights and ALIP is very easy to re-watch.
Cubism left me a little un-enthused but I will give it time.

Well, it kind of let me down when i realized there was no mention of David Bowie, Electronic, Performance tour, Nightlife tour and Zaha Hadid (how in hell can you work with a Mies van der Rohe award winner and not mention it!?), etc... But, in the other hand, everything shown on the dvd (documentary and extras) is greatly enjoyable!

The fact that "Always On My Mind", one of their biggest ever hits, isn't even mentioned, let alone played, strikes me as a bit odd, to say the least.

But except for that and the excessive focus on succes in America, I think it's a great documentary.

BTW, I totally disagree with almost everyone interviewed in the doc about the "gay factor" killing them in the US. The "gay factor" wasn't an issue in the US at all. Neil didn't come out until way after they were dead and buried in the US. Furthermore, the much talked about Domino Dancing video is NOT seen as homoerotic by your average straight male. I refuse to believe that this video in any shape or form did the PSB any harm whatsoever.

My thoughts entirely. It is very odd that the documentary spends so much time on the Pets' US career.

My first viewing left me wondering why they had left so much out, and even my wife (who isn't a fan), noticed they skipped Absolutely Fabulous. Bless. Anyway, I assume it has to be related to limited the running time for eventually commercial airing, which it's done in Australia from what I've heard.

Best part is exactly what comedychris pointed out: I was watching it with my wife and I said out loud: "Jesus Christ, he's playing that" and even she was impressed. The man is a bloody legend.

What pissed me off about it is that Bingual, Nightlife and Release were ahrdly mentioned at all, and those were the albums that i wanted to know about.Obviously these albums sell as many copies as the previous albums but i would've liked them to be covered.

I agree. I don't like it when some albums are much more "analyzed" than others, that are hardly mentioned at all. I too would have liked to hear more about Release.
It's like many "best of" packages that feature 6 songs from one album but only 1 from another...

I would rather they talked less about the musical and spent more time on the albums.

Agreed they spent too much time talking about Closer to Heaven than anything. But all in all it is a great DVD.

Agreed, but if you look at the current PSB tour, there's a similar pattern... From Bilingual, only a fragment of Se A Vida E is played, from Nightlife exactly nothing, from Release only an accoustic version of Home And Dry... - that's it.

My DVD has listed the video for "Flamboyant" but there´s no sing of it when i play it, has anyone the same problem?

No I do not have that issue.
