Always on my Wind

The only way i can describe the sound effect on "Always on my mind" is the Wind effect.
On the demo version you can hear it more louder than on the single version and on the current live version they have moved it so it comes in at a different part of the song.
This sound i believe was done by a Fairlight, like so many other sound effects back in the 80's. What i would like to know is do you think the "Wind" sound effect is triggered by a specific note Chris plays on his keyboard or do you think it is all programmed to come in at a certain point ?
What's your views on other sound effects ?
