Left to my own devices always works great live. At the concert in Washington, D.C., last year, though, the surprise track of the night for me was "Flamboyant." I love the studio versions but had no idea whether it would work live. It did, and went down well with an audience that may not have been very familiar with it.

"Minimal," on the other hand, didn't seem to work very well at all. The studio version's vocoder effect was much missed. "Shopping" was great, though.

Can you forgive her? is one of my all-time favourite PSB tracks, but the current tour version is the most horrible rendition I ever heard, because one of the orchestra hits sounds terribly off-tune. The G-chord sounds half a tone higher, like a Gis.

The current tour doesn't really have remarkable new renditions of tracks, such as some of the Nightlife tour versions. I quite like the extra synthline in Shopping and the blips and beeps in Rent.

I really liked Heart and Rent.

Biggest disappointment was Always On My Mind, simply because they did a scraped down version, without the big orchestral hits. It sounded a bit dull.

Minimal didn't work live at all, but I didn't expect it to. Integral worked very very well.

Absolutely adored: Rent, then Heart.

Shopping.

Really loved how Minimal/Shopping and SAVE/Domino Dancing blended into one another, so to speak.

I think they should have added Love comes quickly. Anyway, unlike other tours, I was *really* pleased with the choice of songs they played. 'Obscure' tracks next time please Neil!

Not always: remember the Mermaid concert? - at this time Neil sang it slightly nervously and think. But in Fundamental Tour he's at his high with this song!

Yes, it's sounds a bit weird and ponderous live, when Neil don't use a vocoder to spell the letters (we know, it's not easy), but when we were in Riga at concert in may, it seems like no one there but me have noticed it: whole rhythm of this song made the crowd echo it back tapping on the floor, drived them mad like plungers of the one giant engine. And this medley thing is just nothing less than genius.
One thing with this song have annoyed me though, when Neil sang "time and space" line, last word was amplified with space effect (literally) and if you'd stand in first rows in front of cheap/old monitors, it would be a serious blow on your ears .
And then my No.1 favourite from this tour is "Heart": A.M.A.Z.I.N.G., I want this miraculous version re-recorded in studio and I want this PopArt-esque projection as video, detached from tour!

I also consider Heart one of the highlights, simply because it has always been one of my favourite PSB singles, and because it wasn't played live the past 17 years. But I hear nothing special about this 'miraculous' version. It's basically the album version...

I'm quite sure it has something different (in sound) to album and single versions (my copy of "Cubism" hasn't arrived yet :(), apart from atmosphere of live concert and wonderful projection (but you may be right, as well).
