zzzz call me when the next album is out

Being a PSB fan is like walking through a desert. You find the occasional oasis to fill your canteen at (and the water is oh so good) then you trudge onward looking for the next one. Finally when you think you have found another its just a mirage fooling you into disappointment.
I look forward to the next oasis so I can get my fill.

Try to be a Michael Jackson fan (or rather: don't): once in 5 years an album back in the days, or actually, many other artist. 2 to 3 years for a new album is normal for an established artist.

It can sometimes be disappointing to be a PSB fan but still I think leesmapman has a point. Michael Jackson's last album came out 7 years ago and was crap. Even though Disco 4 is a crap idea, Fundamental and Cubism made up for it already.
The main problem I have with Disco 4 is that after PSB went for ages about how they want to be special, I tend to look at their sub-par product differently -- if it was a sub-par Madonna, Kylie or Seal remix album, I would just ignore its existence, as a PSB release it serves as further proof that they stopped being special around the time of Bilingual SE.

I disagree with this thread opener. PSB fans seem to get new stuff all the time!! And we are well informed too! I know more artists, besides of those mentioned here, that do not make anything happen in years!

Old Wolfie has the perfect excuse - he was so mind-blowingly prolific in the first 30-odd years that he's felt less need to churn out new music in the intervening 306 years...
Mind you that hasn't deterred Anon - the amount of stuff he's written...

I think you will carry on waiting for them to release another album.
It's 6 years since the last album by 808 State and, apart from some remix work and the upcoming re-issues, we will hear no more from them.
