Best of...... Disco

we all know disco 4 with mostly negative responses, so if the boys put out disco 5 or any future disco series, what old "official mixes" can be compiled to make a great Disco?
West end girls (original bobby o version)****
Left to my own devices (Disco mix)
Heart (Dance mix)
OMC (original bobby o mix) ****
**** even though they are on a single, those versions only are found on vinyl, most of the fans never heard of this and it would be a treat, I have them on a ripped vinyl version converted to mp3, so the quality is shite
to get started any ideas?

I'd prefer new mixes of old songs. At one stage that was what Disco 2 was going to be -- not the Disco 2 we eventually got, but the Disco 2 they'd been thinking about releasing after (or before?) Discography. (Presumably it would have included things like the Sasha West End girls, Marr's IWTWU, and maybe the Hacienda Violence.)
Of old mixes that could be recirculated, I'd be in favor of the 10" extended mixes of West End girls and It's Alright (especially the former). The disco mix of Left to my own devices is lousy, imho. At some point, the Boys might also consider releasing various "lost mixes," like the Go West remix that was done around 2000 for a football comp. There might be a few gems in the vault. Heck, the royal piano mix of Left to my own devices deserves a proper release...
(Actually, I'll second all of Oznerol's suggestions and add to them Shep's mastermix of Opportunities and his dub mix of Heart. Both are rather interesting and good, deserving of CD release. The "base remix" of Domino Dancing, too -- a remix with a few lines of extra vocals.)

Check Gardner's discography, Weirdalfan. The "Bobby O" versions of West End girls and OMC are on several comps and ZYX reissues. There was even a "box set" of them about a decade back -- even though all the material spread across four discs would have fit easily on just one.
There's a rather good Bobby O comp called something like "I Love Bobby O," which has some of his most famous productions (the Flirst, Divine, etc.) and includes the 7" of OMC. Don't think the Kordak mix has appeared anywhere officially on CD, though.

You have many early ZYX singles on CD, some very old, some later re-releases. One of the most popular ones is the "Maxi CD Collection"

it includes the origianl 12" of West End girls...you´re right about the very original versions of One More Chance, the original Bobby O and Kordak mix are just on vinyl, altough you can find the 'remix 88' on CD...also from the ZYX era...

Actually, to disagree with Oznerol a bit and reiterate what I'd said earlier, the Bobby "O" mix of OMC (not the Kordak one, but the other one) *is* available on CD. It's the 5:34 original 12" mix (not 7", as I'd said up above) and it's on the I Love Bobby "O" comp put out around 2004 by Blanco y Negro.

I don't feel like paying for old demo's. I want to pay for NEW PSB productions. Disco 3 had a couple, Disco 4 has just one. If I buy something, I want value for money. So if Disco 5 ever sees the light of day, I just hope it will contain either NEW songs or NEW, exclusive remixes.
Personally I would like a collection with all-new remixes of old PSB classics. Some of these oldies really deserve an update.

Put only new disco songs on Disco5 please.
But for the remixes I´d suggest Young Offender (Jam and Spoon trip-o-matic fairytale mix). I know it´s not so disco but it´s bloody good.

The best remix of West End Girls is by DJ Hell. If they did put old songs on D5 then I'd want new remixes of old tracks... although, I do like the Shep Pettibone remixes.
