I can't remember ever reading why Neil and Chris put that bit of early 90s rave-type music at the end of "Go west". Did they write it specifically for the song or was it something they'd already written that they found worked well?

dunno sounded good at the time. sounds a bit dated now, bit like the 'rave' bit in their mix of Read My Mind

It does sound dated but I still love this segment - especially when they played it on the Nightlife tour.

I like it but never thought it fitted in its extended form. Don't know why, because it sounds fine on the single version. Maybe it's just too long.

Yeah, I loved how they played it during the Nightlife tour and during the Release and '04 summer festival tours. It was so much hard. You could do nothing but jump like mad!

that "second movement" of the extended version is a masterpiece!

I think it's one of the best parts in PSB history.
I always rewind Go West to the end to hear that perfect part.
And I always repeat that part on my CD player.
PSB should release about 12 mixes with different bpm and arrangements.

that's my fave part of Go West actually...

lol..that part will never sound out-dated... the fact is that it was even too modern for its time.. one of the best parts PSB ever wrote

What Anderson and Seaman did with that 'second movement' is one of the greatest bits of a track from the 90s.
