Been listening to this all week - what a superb album, fully justifying the decision to work with Stuart Price.

Anyone else got any thoughts?

Well I am a fan of Stuart Price's work. What he did with that Madonna album was fantastic.
I was however initially reluctant as the Seal/Trevor Horn collaborations had always been so perfect. Having had a couple of listens I am delighted with the results.
It actually takes me back to Seals roots, back when he made (more obvious) dance records. The album still maintains consistently good song writing and production. It's another great Seal album!

Album of the year -- and his first album without a single weaker track.

Only heard the single, love it. Will need to get the album. I heard the duet with Heidi is crap though

The single is the weakest track and the duet with Heidi is amazing (sic) -- I expected a cringe-fest, but in fact she can SING! Who would have thought?

I heard it yesterday for the first time and it sounds pretty good. I'm really surprised that it's entered the UK chart at 37!

I'm not surprised as Seal's popularity has nosedived here in the UK since his second album and the lead single Crazy didn't even make the top 75. Having said that, I've never really understand why his fortunes suffered so badly and so quickly as even though the second album didn't do as well as his debut, it still spawned the twice-released Kiss From A Rose, which was a huge hit second time thanks to appearing in the Batman film. After that, however, nothing.

I haven't got the new album yet but definitely will at some point as I've heard great things about it.

Wedding Day is awesome, love it. There really isn't a weak song on the album I don't think.

"Crazy" was the lead single from his FIRST album, not his second. "Crazy" made #2 in the UK. The lead single from his second album was "Prayer For The Dying", which made #14 in the UK.

Seal's popularity decreased when the third album was released: "Human Being", but Seal IV did slightly better.
Apologies for the confusion. I was quite tired when I wrote the post and when I mentioned Crazy, I was actually referring to Amazing, the lead single from his current album, which missed the top 75 a couple of weeks ago. Obviously Crazy was actually his biggest hit and from his debut album.

Thought I'd bump this as I got System for Christmas and have been listening to it almost non-stop since. What a truly fantastic album and it's such a shame it flopped so badly because it really deserved better.

Difficult to pick out favourite tracks as they are all so good but I'll give special mention to Amazing (Thin White Duke Edit), If It's In My Mind It's On My Face, The Right Life and Rolling.
