I'm sure it'll cause another groan, but I'm looking for suggestions of other music to listen to alongside PSB.

To give you some help my current favourite PSB tracks are:

The Resurrectionist
Dreaming of the Queen
Here
The Samurai in Autumn
Sexy Northerner
Minimal

On iTunes I spend most of my time listening to the classical piano radio station.

Please, no suggestions of Keane, The Killers or Erasure :)

Goldfrapp are amazing. They are electro and quirky. You'll probably know some of their stuff if you are UK based.

They have 3 albums at the moment-
Felt Mountain- kinda haunting, more eclectic and strange than the others
Black Cherry- amazing! Very funky, sorta dirty and sexy vocals. Totally reccommend.
Supernature- more commercial, great dance songs.

Onetwo are also quite good. They were the support act for Erasure, but are verrrrry different sounding. They are made up of Paul Humphreys (OMD) and Claudia Brucken on vocals. Their CD is kinda cool.
Here's their site....

She has a very clear voice so you can hear her sing.

I'll vouch for Onetwo as well - great stuff.

To me Amy McDonald is a poor man's Lily Allen - and I hate her.

I've just discovered a group called Geyster. There stuff is quite good.

People will hate me for it but just the media attention of them puts me off listening to people like Lily Allen or Amy Winehouse.

Well, ghostofmyself, it depends on what type of music you are into. I am into the PSB sound, plus Depeche Mode, NIN, Marilyn Manson, Gary Numan sound and then Sarah Brightman, Josh Groban, Black Sabbath sounds too. So it all depends on what else you are into besides PSB type of music.

Ohhhh, The Rumblestrips are quite good too. They supported Hard Fi at a recent gig.... here's their linky.

There's a few tracks you can listen to on there.

It's a bit more unusual and energetic, I guess. It's a cross between Dexy's, The Cure, and a few other 80's bands really. They were good live- I don't have the album myself yet though, so I don't know how they translate to CD when you're listening at home. :? :)

I thought that when i first heard about her but it's a completely different kettle of fish. Lily Allen is for kids. Silly lyrics and the songs are spoken. Amy Macdonald is a proper singer with proper lyrics and a proper band. She is also someone who doesn't appear in the press every day, feeling sorry for hereself because she was dumped and went to the priory, bless her.

Another decent album ;- Sam's Town - Killers.
