Back in hospital (now back FROM hospital!)

... on Tuesday, operation on Wednesday so that they can finish the job, give me a knee joint back and get me off crutches and out of a cast.

I was told it would be 'a couple of weeks to heal and then we'll get you back in again'. That was on the 11th of last month, so it will be 4 weeks and initially they wanted me back in on the 16th until I pointed out that I am housebound and am not earning.

Anyway, another painful operation to come, but the sooner I can drive and be back at work again the better. Fingers crossed I am driving in time for the start of the new football season. I'd be gutted if I had to miss a home match, but fortunately we're away for the first match, so there's a decent chance all will be good for the second match of the season.

It's been a nightmare from start to finish, but one I have the dubious pleasure of having to kind of get used to. Having a robo joint isn't conducive to trouble free life I am afraid and I must brace myself for more of the same in future.

Anyway, as previous, if you have any urgent forum issues please PM DavePSB or if you are really stuck TheGardner. I am not sure how long I will be in for this time, but I doubt it'll be more than a week. I will try to keep up to date via my mobile and also the free access ward computer if I can get to it, but I can make no promises on urgent matters.

Wish me luck. It's about time I had some! ;)

You are much to young to be having knee problems but hopefully you will be well looked after and once you get your new bionic part you won't look back - very best of luck to you.

Woah I know what its like having issues with something like that. I know that your operation will turn out fine. I have been dealing with issues of my left arm and shoulder for about a year, I had two operations. Still going through aching.

Doubt I'll get chance to go online tomorrow morning, so I thought I'd better put my head in now.

Thanks for the messages.

billiejo - I might be too young, but this has been ongoing since I was 21!

Fingers crossed all goes to plan this time.

I''ll be back soon. :)

I go to theatre and get put to sleep
Woken up to be told they have not done the operation because they had not got all the parts

Getting mighty pissed off with all this now
