It is official...his latest single is incredible!

It must be a lot better than Freek or Shoot The Dog, right?

Nothing like the two. Great vocal, excellent beat. Honestly it is just right! Nothing over the top, and will certainly debut at #1 in the UK.

Well dVTB one of the qualities I really liked about this track was the fact that the acoustic guitar is evident in the background. There is no way you can dislike this track. It is a love song, and we all know Pet Shop Boys write a few of those here and there , so even though lyrically it may not be something like Praying For Time, the lyric is a beautiful one and the music will have you hooked in moments. And if you are critical, it will have ya by no more than 3 listens. It got me on the first listen, and that only happens when there is a damn good vibe, and this is a damn good vibe! One cool line is "I said how are ya gunna make it on your own, if luck is a lady"

Is it in the vain of 'Fastlove'? IMO, his best track to date.

FWIW, I head the new song this morning. Doesn't live up to its title, I'm afraid. Sounds a little dated, but then I don't like any records when I first hear them

It's kinda in that vein, but of course different. There is no big break like Fastlove had. The track really doesn't need that big break though, its steady pace really makes the track.

And BigBoy...hey everyone has different taste, so your opinion is valid, although I don't find it sounds dated.

I didn't even notice your typo. As for Radio 1, they were one of the few stations to debut it. It got it's first spin at 8:15 am London time. As for playlisting, not sure. Most likely though.

Being a music journalist honestly means nothing. Everyone has an ear or two, and everyone's opinion on what is good and what is not good depends upon the listener themselves. If I was an avid music journalist reader, I would never have become a Pet Shop Boys fan, I can tell ya that. Everyone on this forum is a music journalist, they just don't get paid to critique.
