Why do you deem it okay to bash conservatives and at the same time you are outraged by so-called homophobes? Double-standards, eh? Not everybody has to agree with the gay lifestyle. Any creationist and Christian who firmly believes in God is a free target for you. But if anybody dared say anything against gays you are all enraged. I don't agree with the gay lifestyle and it goes against God and nature. Yet, I hate the sin and love the sinner. But why is it okay for you to bash conservatives and "fundamentalist" creationists and then will not let anybody say anything against the gay lifestyle? I am not a homophobe because I am not afraid of them. I can see past people's sexuality and see other characteristics. I still love the PSB and other gay artists. Just like I disagree with my friends' promiscuous lifestyles: I still hobnob with them but I still disapprove of their acts. So spare me this homophobia bullcrap. If I find gayness disagreeable I'm not gonna let you nor anybody else shut me up. I tolerate it and don't want it banned. But this doesn't mean that I have to like it.

But let's go back on topic: The Democrat party is the party of "segregation", "secession" and "slavery." Did I mention the KKK? Give the black community free handouts, make them dependent on the welfare state, secure their vote and never ever let them get out of the ghetto because otherwise you'd lose their vote. This is the Democrat party. Oh, and whenever a black joins the Republicans and goes against the stereotype of what party to vote, they are ridiculed as "Uncle Toms." Basically, the Democrats blame everything that is rotten about themselves onto the Republicans. They are the racists and sexists who did anything to keep slavery and segregation. Then, together with their cohorts in the media, they convinced the public that their despicable racist history is the Republicans'. Great PR stunt, but the fact remains that the Democrats are the racists.

It must be time (next week?) for Obama to be inaugurated as you have started Democrat-bashing again.

Religion and scientific ignorance are choices people make, being gay isn't a choice. That's the difference. That's why racism isn't okay, but laughing at Erasure fans is: being black is something you're born with, liking shit music is something you consciously choose to do.

Well, if you're as anti-racist as you say you are, you'd let people of colour be the judge there, and they backed the Democrat 20:1 in November. Okay, that was a special case, because Obama is biracial. But black people supported Kerry, Gore and Clinton at a ratio of 8 or 9:1.

I think it's pretty clear who black people think best represent their interests, don't you? I mean, I'm sure you think you know better than they do, because despite all evidence to the contrary, you think you know better about most things than most people. But needless to say, the people who know better disagree.

Some Democrats may be racist, certainly, just as some Republicans may be. You can't just label either entire party as racist.

Not really, if I was able to "choose" to like a ubiquitous I can't stand (Coldplay for example) I would do. It would be a lot more enjoyable to choose to like something than to be annoyed by it every bloody time I hear it.

So no, I don't think liking Erasure is a choice. But I still think you can make fun of people for it.
