Do you think a Spanish movie can't be much better than some of the most famous horror movies all around the world?. I'm sure you haven't seen REC.

TV reporter Ángela (Manuela Velasco) and her crew are sent out to spend a night with firemen for the programme When you're asleep. When an emergency call arrives from a Barcelona block of flats, they accompany the fire-fighters inside. Big mistake...

Trapped in a building in quarantine the only thing that matters is hiding, surviving, overcoming the fear... And to keep on recording (you can see the whole movie in Youtube in the original Spanish version).

It's not a bad film, much preferred The Orphanage, which was fantastic and one of my favourite films from last year. I hear the American remake of [REC] - Quarantine - is meant to be atrocious; which is usually par for the course when it comes to Hollywood remakes.

Best Spanish film I've seen is Pan's Labyrinth.

Very dark in tone in some places and some fantastic ideas and imagery. My mate who is 40 this year has severely creeped out by the creature with eyes in it's hands.

Best Spanish film is 'Open Your Eyes.' I thought Nickname's favourite horror film was Herbie Does Barcelona.
