its about freakin time. even before he killed that lana girl i had read books about john lennon and then a couple books about spector and they referenced his penchant for threatening people ...especially women with guns.

he was a pretty tiny guy and had a complex and having guns apparently was an equalizer plus he had issues with women.

that guys......not going to do well in prison.

I think it is a good thing that the correct verdict was given.

But it is sad to see such a genius, left alone to go crazy on his own,
and wind up like this.

That picture really shows the madness of Phil Spector! Who does he think he is - Beethoven?

I've read stories about Ramones being gun-threatened by Spector too when they were recording with him.

By the way I have often found his productions very painful to listen to. For example Lennon's Imagine album and George Harrison's All Things Must Pass are ruined by Spector's terrible Wall of Sound. As a producer he is remarkably overrated!

I also thought so! I think alot of his stuff sounds distorted and messy.

He looks like one of the Hair Bear Bunch! I never liked that show.

Gene Pitney before he died commented that from his experience it seems likely Spector had no idea he shot Clarkson, who she was or where she was at the time. Sad.

well there is the account by the limo driver at the scene that night who said spector said...I think I shot someone. not sure if it was admitted into evidence at court. you never know with high powered lawyers, they can get lots of stuff thrown out.

Didn't he get a haircut halfway through the trial?

that pic I posted above was actually from the earlier trial that ended in a deadlock. this is him recently when he was booked before going straight to jail.
