I'm sure I'm not the only Star Trek fan on here.

I'm travelling to Milton Keynes (from Glasgow) this weekend and I'm going to get my photo taken with Kate Mulgrew (Captain Janeway - Voyager) for the princely sum of £20. I'm so excited! Patrick Stewart, Tim Russ, Robert Duncan McNeill, Jeffrey Coombs and the girl who played Ro Laren will also be there.

What's your favourite incarnation of Star Trek?

I'm not super into Star Trek at all, but when Next Generation was new I usually enjoyed watching. When I watch now, the dialogue is to stilted that I have trouble with it, but still a good show.

the recent star trek movie where it was a prequel was one of the best movies I've ever seen.

I liked 'Voyager' best. 'Next Generation' was nice, too. I liked characters like Data or Seven
Of Nine who came after Ocampa Kes in 'Voyager'. Neelix was great, too. B'Lana changed a
lot from wild bushy brows into a more soft and female shape. Did anyone else notice?

Yep another fan here (and sci-fi in general). Have all series and movies on DVD plus TOS on Blu-Ray...I blame BBC2 in the 1990s for showing 3 episodes a week - it got me hooked!

TNG - had a shakey start, but grew really strongly and is probably my favourite

DS9 - Garak! enough said...also Odo got some very good lines

Voyager - was a little 'press reboot at end of episode' but had some good stories and SFX / action at the time

Enterprise - ok...liked the last season with its story arc

Michelle Forbes played Ro Laren - she appeared in an earlier episode of TNG as a scientist's daughter before going Bajoran.

That's as far as I go - no conventions, costumes or the like...just a small Enterprise model, a book or two and loads of DVDs

I have enjoyed Sci-Fi for many years.
Used to read Sci-Fi for many years but cannot now.

I find I have watched Star-trek too much.

TNG : Great actors but scripts often void of ideas.

DS9 : I think this is the most brilliant. The Cardassians, the Dominion, ... .

Voyager : The most consistent, always a 7 or 8 out of ten episode.

Enterprise : I liked, found s3(Xindi) was too much tension drawn out too long.

The last movie was awful, no ideas.

I find these days i am watching Stargate again and again. It's ability to
be re-watched is very, very high. I think this is because the ideas in the scripts
are very good and more subtly handled than Start Trek.

Watched all 5 seasons of SG-Atlantis and now enjoying s2 of SG-Universe.

I like Lexx very much ; full of imagination and subversiveness.

Earth 2 was good but only one season.

Battle Star Galactica (the remake) was very good but hard to get into to.

I loose interest in earth bound stuff like The 4000.

Oh and come in Smeg-heads.

I too am a lover of sci-fi in general. I enjoy Star Trek, especially TNG, but I love Bablyon 5 best for its pre-planned 5 season narrative sweep. It was very much a show ahead of its time. Also the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica was great, and I really enjoyed Joss Whedon's short-lived show Firefly, despite its daft premise. I've only watched a few episodes of Stargate, but I'm sure I could get into it if I tried...

I'm a fairly big Trek fan, mostly TNG onwards as I've not seen much of TOS.

as far as star wars, in my eyes lucas took a big steaming dump over his legacy with those cartoonish prequels, and I'm not even going to comment on the actual cartoon series he did also.

Yeah I rather enjoyed that too. Another show like Firefly that was crushed by the ratings-obsessed TV companies just as it was getting into its stride...

Oh, how could I forget Firefly ? Brilliant.
The acting, the effects, was it the script ? Why did it work so well ?

I loved Bab5 too, for a while, but tired off it when it got to the specials.
Who looked closely at the scene of Vice President Clark being sworn in ?

I think that viewing TV series - a colossal waste of time.
