I know I mentioned this track in an off-topic thread, but I feel it's so PSB it deserves it's own thread. It's links to Pandemonium and Love Etc are obvious, and it has the soulful rap love of West End Girls.

I can only hear the sound of a tin of Spam being opened. Are you serious that this should start a thread on a PSB site?

You don't have to like this track, but the connections to PSB are obvious. And other people I've played the track for acknowledge the similarity between this and songs like Pandemonium and Love Etc. Given, this guy isn't a Neil Tennant, he's a more fey Justin Timberlake, and he's singing about stuff that PSB wouldn't, but sound wise there are connextions. This sounds more PSB than anything I've heard from Hurts. I guess if you don't hear it, you don't hear it, but really, no need to fuss about this post and say it's random. And PB, we're missing your enlightening avatars. Please fix!

I don't know who Gigamesh are, but they sound like Xenomania under raps. In case anyone is listening to only 20 seconds of the song and then commenting, then you would be missing what's going on here.

And for those that hate Kesha please note the Onion reports "But in a pop landscape that includes “lovesick crackhead” Ke$ha, Posner deserves some credit, especially when grading on a curve."

There are some vague rhythmic/riff based similarities to the PSB songs you mention and he is using some synths but the production, subject matter and vocal style are all way off. To my ears it's not more PSB-like than Hurts, and they're not very PSB-like, either.

Fair enough, vocally and subject matter, no it's not PSB. But production, synths, and as you say rhythmic/riff it's quite PSB to my ears. As for Hurts, it's much more of the synth world, but they remind me more of new wave than PSB.

Yet, I think if Neil sang over the instrumental of this track, it would fit right in as the 12th track from Yes. It's All Over The World, Love Etc, Pandemonium, More Than A Dream all rolled into one.

Nah, not my fault if you don't hear it. I told my gf that people in the forum don't find it similar, and she says "don't they hear it's OBVIOUSLY similar to Pandemonium"? So I can't really care that you need to bitch at me for this post. I've made very few posts recently. Go away.

It's a complete joke really. He posts crap on here on a regular basis but if somebody who isn't a moderator has a go at him, he complains to the moderators and then they get given a warning. No, i wont go away. This thread you started is a waste of server space. You are obviously advertising. It's noticable you have made few posts recently. A pity you didn't carry on that trend because this topic is relevant to nothing.

Maybe the artist in question can employ a better street team because you aren't the best one to plug his work. It's complete dross. Now i'd appreciate it if you accept peoples opinions, instead of telling them to ''go away.'' If you can't handle the smoke.....
