A bit dissapointed with what i've heard. It sounds alright but because they haven't changed the vocals, it's too same-y. They did the same with Always 2009. If they are going to keep re-gurgitating the same stuff, they need to change the vocals a bit.

I have to say, I haven't heard it, but I can't be bothered to care. Always 2009 was a total waste of time. PSB would have probably charted top 40 with the Grum remix of West End Girls as single.

Yeah, but from the clip i heard, it's not that noticable. It's like they are singing the song as well and the effect is an echo.

I remember Christmas getting slated (only by 1 or 2) for its chart position of #40. Which imo, was still a decent effort considering it was £5.

So, we have a single that was £5 charting at #40 and full of covers, old songs and a 13 year old track given away free. So what should we expect from a single that's under £1 and is for CHARITY and a former top 10 hit? Surely a top 20 placing, minimum. Wasn't it also featured on the American version of Strictly? So good promotion, especially as it's their first single for a bit. It's going to be interesting how this performs. Especially, like i said, their were a few folk who decided to slag of Christmas' chart placing .

So, any news? Danger? Surely you know. Don't try and do what you normally do though, and doctor the figures

You can access the midweek chart (although they're not allowed to call it that) on Buzzjack.
I can tell you that it's not top 40, currently the only info they have.

It won't do owt because it's had little promotion. You'd think if they cared that much about bullying or whatever it would be featured on everything from Blue Peter to Newsround and get loads of promotion. It hasn't. The new version is OK but it's kind of pointless. And they're touring Total Pop next year. Why?

You have to be joking? Are you really, really that desperate? For a start absolutely nobody knows this song is available, you may be surprised that the Erasure website is not one of the internet's most looked at website! This will have either zero or absolute minimal promotion or radio play, or do you disagree on that? So very few people even know this is available let alone would buy this! That's why it won't get in the Top 500, probably not Top 100. If it was released as a proper single on cd etc then it may well have charted 100 or something but it won't be so obviously will do absolutely nothing. I don't think the purpose of this has anything to do with having a "hit".

So it was featured on an America TV show, what 3 months ago! And not even the Erasure version! I'd just love to know how you think such an American TV show appearance would effect the UK chart placing of this song!!!!!!!! Quite amazing! You take bullshitting to an absolutely new level. I tell you what I find amazing too, the fact that now Together got to 58 you have stopped posting in that thread and are straight here to try and save face!

If no one knows about it, how come it was at #210 on i-tunes earlier? It's for charity, which automatically will make it more appealing. It has far more going for it in terms of chart impact than Christmas. It's a fraction of the cost and is for charity. You constantly had a pop at Christmas Ep's chart position. You stoked the fire. Now your hands are burning. Those in glass houses and all that

What more should i be saying? I've said it's flopped and sold poorly. Please explain what is left to add Also, i'm posting here because this week was the release of Erasures new single. When do you want me to post in here? 2015?

Yeah, i am nuts. However, it is an unfair comparison. How could something that cost £5 have a chance against something as cheap as 89p AND released for charity

Finally, it isn't me that's been making bizzare comparisons of late, so i thought if that's how the Erasure headbangers are going to do things, i'll have an input. Surely that's fair. Infact, all the advantages are in the court of A Little Respect' as explained above but at least i've been fair and compared two releases that were released at the same time

0 radio play, 0 promotion, 0 cd single, etc. etc. etc.

And you are now trying to claim that because it is a charity single everybody suddenly will have heard it and will be buying it? A bit confusing that. Obviously it is the Erasure die hards that are buying it on itunes and most probably such a release will be well out of the top 1000 by Sunday. That's me being realistic, you might want to try that yourself.

And as for comparisons with Christmas, well to be fair number 40 is not that great for a new single (Was it £5 everywhere? Funny cos I didn't pay that and wasn't it also available for download on itunes for 89p a track or something like that? Well done for forgetting that. More choice of songs too so it should perhaps have sold more? Obviously not! Ohh and promotion too, or was that not important in December 2009?)

To say you are clutching at straws is an understatement, but I did laugh at you claiming a USA TV show appearance 3 months or so ago is good promotion for a song on the UK itunes chart! Wasn't it played on the radio in Brazil or something last month as well? Must get to number 1 now?

I think Undertaker's point is that you and Danger Danger jump on PSB singles getting to numbers 40 or 58 whilst Erasure's singles consistently fail to threaten the top 300.

Even charity singles.
