which are the best ones in the market. Preferably in the $150-200 range and most imp something i can take while jogging, running. Many of the reviews i read caution about certain players not good while on the move.

Dunno if it's available here in Sweden only, but the mp3-player "Jens of Sweden" is very good it's small, has an exclusive look, large memory, doesn't weight much etc etc

Well, my iPod and me have a very close relationship. It can take damage without blinking and though I don't run, I bike, and no skips or anything.

My brother has the older one, and I love it. I steal it as often as I can Never any problems when running or similar.

I have a Samsung Yepp player, and despite being put through some rigorous abuse of all sorts (spilled drinks and whatnot) it hasn't skipped a beat. (literally.)

Still, if I wanted to upgrade, I'd get this one:

Now for the worst one ever -- my Philips Nike 3" CD-R player with mp3 capability. Where to begin?

1. You need to take the disc out to replace batteries.
2. The laser lens isn't covered by anything.
3. And when it gets dusty (roughly every time you replace batteries) you get the "Unfinalized CD" error and it won't work.
4. It's aimed at joggers etc., so it should be everything-proof, but I already managed to break the steering pad on the player itself and so I now need to use the remote.
5. But the pad sometimes locks up, say, at pressing "fwd" and while I use the "lock" facility on the player it still feels the need to say "beep". As you probably expect, beeping every half a second doesn't quite make the music sound better.
6. I think the headphones that were supplied with the set must have been tested on aliens -- am yet to see a human they fit.
7. I forgot to mention a new set of batteries lasts the whole banging 5 hours.

It cost me 99 Euro which is a price WAY too high -- it should retail at 0.00 Euro. Actually I think buyers should be paid...

Phillips audio is really quite ordinary surprisingly. Sony and even Aiwa are much better. Even a simple thing like headphones, sony is way better !

Tricky-

Ive got one of the MuVos and I love the damn thing to bits. Shopper- its brilliant for running- mine fits in the little change pocket for my running shorts even! Its absolutely miniature, and will fit quite a few songs actually if you compress them to what is it WMA format or whatever. Even without doing that i can get about 20-25 songs on mine. You can now get the second generation ones that do have read-out and the price is a smidge over $100. NEver had a problem with the thing and the battery life is pretty good- ive even dragged it to Europe several times, and when i hang out ith friends at their place I swap my music for theirs and it plugs right in- no software needed. Click and Drag- you cant get easier than that!

I say iPod mini if you really want to be hip and stylin and need a 3000 song database to run to , but im really really REALLY fond of the MuVo- take 15 seconds to change the song list and its not cumbersome at all and who needs to choose between 3000 songs on a run!?

what about this one? If I were to buy a new one I'm quite sure it would be number 1 on my list .
